John did you drive the car ? Or did Doug ? Either way great driving
Couldn't of been me, I dont know how to drive a six speed, just ask one of the guys in your area with the big mouth, he'll tell you and anyone else who will listen.
Not sure if you know this btw, but Kyle never had the six speed record, there is an LPE turbo car who has owned that title for years, many years actually. The owner doesn't boast about it, but it has not been beaten either.
John is hoping to change that, but there are many likely candidates out there.

Best of luck to all of them trying!!

Thought there turbo car went 9.4x I thought.
John's car is definitely a 8 second car with the RIGHT driver ...

I try, but I have been surpassed with a great leap.
If you read the thread you will see why the MPH was down, that alone would bring it at or near that allusive 8 second mark when corrected with the same crappy driver that was in the seat for the 9.3 pass. We could lean on the tune more too, but John was hoping to hit it as it's street driven.
The turbo went a little quicker then that, high teens was what I was told from an employee who was there for the pass. Either way though, all of them are very impressive.

Yes , wires on the header is never good for MPH . Kyle trapped 154 mph on his 9.25 pass..
I love the picture of it backing out of the trailer .. Good shot

Congrats guys... It was nice to see the runs! This thing is a beast, you would never know it. Next time out, I would be surprised if it doesn't go in the eights. With either Hot shoes or Tommy driving...
John may need a few more passes to get it in the eights... But he's definitely gettin there!

154 is cranking, I do not remember what this car trapped as an auto, I think it has trapped in the upper 150's, maybe John remembers.
Yeah it's the stupid things that get you sometimes. Like I said, we knew it, and we got many passes out of the car before it finally took two cylinders out on the last pass of the day. Of course the wires showed up at the shop while we were at the track.
The other passes were with the boost by gear on, and John getting some seat time, this was not the only nine second pass that day, but the only one on full boost in all gears. We really were not trying to knock on any record doors, just out there having fun.

Very nice work to the ECS crew and conrats to John. That is truely 1 Sweet Ride. I love see cars that are built with a great balance of extreme performance and streetability.
That's just awesome, congrats. You gotta take it back with the plug wires sorted and a little more aggressive tune. I love that its a six speed! What RPM did you launch at for the sub 1.50 60'? That's some good driving for sure.

Without looking at that specifically in the log file, I would guess 4k, but I just went by ear so I might be off a little. Thanks
