They did mine as well, head, cam, intake, vararam, and all of the supporting mods to go with it. It took very little time and I went from 330 rwp to just over 440 rwhp. They took the time to do it right but didnt have it an unnecessarily long amount of time. They also road tested it to check actual driving parameters once it is off the dyno. Great guys and explained everything that they were doing. They will even put progress pictures on their facebook page for you.

as you can see, the oil getting sucked into the head constantly, creating carbon buildup. as you can see I capped off the passenger side valve cover breather port that goes to the manifold, hence i'm running a breather cap now.

Hey guys - I found this thread so as the builder I thought I would chime in.

This is a great project that we have on our hands. What started out as more of a TLC kind of project became a performance build as well. As every Corvette owner knows, a leaky rear main seal means only one thing - drop the entire drivetrain behind the motor to refresh the seals. While we were in there, we also noticed a good amount of oil seeping from the front cover, and pan.

It was really only a few more bolts and I could have that engine out. While we were at it, customer also added a cam to the mix...

It was so easy to throw the engine on a stand, and really tear her down. I originally was not planning on removing the heads, but when I attempted to swap the cam, more than half of the lifters failed to stay seated in the trays. It was clear that the lifter trays were worn out, and needed replacement.

For those who do not know, the plastic lifter trays in LS engines do have a life span. After time, they become brittle and "wallowed out". I have actually seen trays fail to keep the lifter oriented correctly to the cam lobe, allow the lifter to turn in the bore and wipe a cam lobe clean off. Yes, it is catastrophic for the most part.

While the heads were off to replace the trays, we also added 16 fresh LS7 lifters from GM, as well as fresh MLS head gaskets for a good seal. We're also adding nitrous to this engine, so a good seal is paramount.

As you can see from the photos on our facebook page, the engine was NASTY. A ton of build up on the pistons and cylinder head combustion chambers, mostly due to the ****** factory PCV system allowing oil to make it's way into the intake track.

With the addition of a catch can, he will no longer have this problem. We spent a full say cleaning this engine throughly. Take a look at how new it looked when we were done.

I am SO excited to fire this thing up and get it down the road. Here comes another 130,000 miles!

For any more info, or to talk performance, give us a call! We're Corvette experts!
