Looks like a great event. These are always lots of fun. Any reason why you aren't having a true street event or making one of the classes have a required 30 mile cruise?

I attended the 2013 Bayou Drag Event in Houston this year and ran in True Street. The 30 mile cruise with a tagged and inspected car really helps to keep the racecars away and level the field.

Being the first event of its kind here we are taking baby steps. The plan is to implement something like that into the next event. The hope is to get this to be like the LSX Shootout but closer to home as most people in this area do not want to make the trek all the way out there.

Back to the question, if I pay for Doug to be part of the crew, will he be allowed to attend?

This is not a PRIVATE rental its an event and testing before the event . We would love to have you and Doug at the event . This is an great opportunity to have a real lsx race right in our backyard . If we have a good turn out it will make it easier to gain more sponsors/supporters for a bigger event next time .

ONCE AGAIN THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL SHOPS AND PEOPLE WITH LSX POWERPLANT

Just require a stock LS shortblock and no trailers. Just these two things will keep the wallets larger or smaller depending on how you look at it.

You contacted me and asked me to invite you to a private rental.
I gave you my opinion and then asked you to talk to Mark about it. That was a private party.

I do not think it is fair that it is transferring into this event or towards Tune Time/yourself etc, but your not going to push away local racers and not hear about it later. Tune Time just needs to speak for themselves rather then letting others do it for them IMO, it's tough enough breaking into a new scene without starting behind the eight ball.

I'm really happy to see another shop step up and promote some local racing, and I look forward to hopefully be racing in the event myself as long as they have 14 second bracket class for me.

I have no involvement in this event other than that I support it and Tune Time Performance.
I'd like to see all fast cars excluding no one at these events. It wouldn't be the same without you guys.

As for the private rental scene.
In all fairness Doug you can't expect to be invited to every private party especially when at the time you were being a d*ck to the guy doing all the legwork for whatever reason and you guys simply weren't getting along. And I understand you said that you didn't necessarily want to go but it would have helped if you mentioned to them(not sure if you did or not) that you might not be invited under the circumstances.
That's how I saw it, nothing more nothing less despite all the hype people want to make of it.
I would like to think that's all in the past but people want to keep stirring it up and make it out to be more than it really was.

Kevin Sway and I are still working on them. Kevin wanted us to create a flyer with certain criteria and the rules will follow. I have spoken extensively with Rob Farley and his advise has been greatly appreciated. The brackets, 11.50 and 10.50 will closely emulate the CC rules where applicable. The Quick 8 will take some thinking.

This reminds me of the old Charlie Brown Cartoons where all the adults just said "blah, blah....." I didn't understand it until I had a kid of my own and finally figured out it's because it doesn't matter what the adults are saying because the kids can't understand it.

Same case here. You post those pics and it doesn't matter what you type above it. I can't comprehend a word of it.

You're officially my favorite person of the day, regardless of who built your car.

During the initial discussions, Kevin asked that I try to limit the number of classes for logistic purposes. He said that too many classes would be very difficult to manage on a single race day. Only time will tell what this will evolve into. (I personally would have liked to see a gear jammer class, but thought that car count would be hurt; thus not being in the best interest for the event.)
