Car wont start..when i push the ignition button it makes a loud "click" noise....a few times it tried to turn over... im thinking battery? or something more troublesome....its a 2008
so I replaced the ,battery a couple weeks ago... autozone said it was good but they gave me a brand new one because I just bought this one about a year ago...now I'm stuck again in a parking lot and its making the same loud clicking noise...any ideas?
If you haven't driven it in a while (a few weeks), they can lose a charge very quickly, otherwise, I'd check with them and see if it's still under warranty. My battery in my DD Acura died a year later and they replaced it.
check the relays under the hood. I had one go bad (intermittent) on my '08 and it wouldn't turn over at times. Swapped out the relay for a new one and it's been fine ever since. I believe it was the starter relay.
Check all the battery connections. Check the connections at the solenoid also. If their just a little loose it can cause your problem. I know your battery is new but a load test is the only way to know if it's good.

where are the relays located under the hood? Can i visually see if they need to be replaced. Are they easy to pull out?

The relays are in the fuse block located on the passenger side under the hood. The starter (crank) one you're looking for is number 43 when you look at the labels on the underside of the cover once you flip it up. You won't be able to tell if they are bad by looking. They are cheap and they look similar to the one in the photo below.

just found the fuse block and came back to post about it...ill check this out and keep you posted....thank you....
In my instance, when I pushed the start button everything came on like it should but the starter would not go and therefore the engine would not turn over. It was the crank one for me, but I don't know if your issue even has anything to do with the relays. I mentioned it as it was as easy thing to try. The loud click you hear tells me the underhood relay is working and sending current to the starter solonoid (which is attached to the starter motor). The click you hear either may be the solonoid clicking or the actual starter clicking.

Sounds like a bad starter to me. Mine went bad about six months ago and it was doing the same clicking sound. I started by replacing the relay because it looked burnt. It didn't work so I took to started out to get rebuilt but got a good deal on a new one. After the new starter was installed it worked like a jewel.
