trying to decide if I should close this or just let it go
Personally, I would close it. This kind of negativity is infectious and seems to fuel itself, spreading into other threads and causing the general tone of the board to be less about useful info and exchange of ideas and impressions and more about venting the bile out of your spleen.
I feel the OP's original rant immature, childish and totally non-productive.
OP, sorry but your attitude comes off really negative & offensive so expect mostly negative comments, that is the way it works in life. The way you are acting, many people would put you at the end of the list if they was handling your case at GM it & just may be they did just that.
At the end of the day, any car is simply another piece of metal coming off an assembly line. There are people dying today because they cannot get a kidney transplant and others have priority over them for whatever reason. For those sick people, I have more empathy then your situation. You are just coming off as a spoiled, self absorbed person throwing a fit because they have not got what you wanted right away. Instead of complaining here, try helping someone less fortunate then yourself & then thank God for the means to afford a car when over 80% of the families in the world make less then $2.50 a day.
Best response, count your fortunes, and be grateful.
Relax man. Yours is one of the lucky cars that are going to Nashville to get flogged. After that they will fix whatever breaks and deliver it to you.
That way you are not stuck on the side of the road calling for roadside assistance. It will be a little disappointing to get a brand new car with 200 miles on it, but in a couple of months you'll be over it.
I'd say something more like, "get over yourself." But that would be disrespectful. Maybe a little "quiet time" to promote "quiettude" would be in order.
What do you say to the suggestion, Leonard? Just trying to be helpful here.
I guess everyone is entitled to a temper tantrum every now and then...
I will say I do not agree with his statement that the only reason there will be 2015 models is the pre orders for the 2014 models....the reason there will be 2015 models is GM is committed to the investment they made in the retooling of Bowling Green and they for s%#t sure didn't do it to put out the C7 for one year!

Leonard...It's probably unwise to use your real name as your handle here if you intend on posts such as the OP. When your patients (potential or existing) google your name, guess what?

This thread pops up.
This is just one of the times in life when having that Dr. in front of his name doesn't mean $h!t and needs to get in line with everyone else and doesn't like it.
I love the new Corvette. I have one which has been built and will get loaded when it gets loaded. The big fail, in my opinion, is the corporate policy of lack of information. I think the OP just wants to know. I worked in marketing and I know keeping my customers well informed was key to long standing relationships, the oPs frustration is fueled by lack of information.
I realized this was the case back when I actually placed an order in June. The best solution has been expressed by members of the Forum. Just sit back and relax because it will be here and you will drive and enjoy the new Stingray. All of the upset is a waste of energy and emotion. Life goes by quickly and this will all be history soon enough.
Man - that guy needs to chill out!
I can wait another week while my Corvette is being shipped to the dealer.
I have waited 62 years to get my Corvette - I can wait a little longer.
Four years ago, I had a heart attack, last January I needed lung surgery for an infection - In the grand scheme of things - 100 years from now - nobody will remember this inconvience.
Records show this doctor is retired and no longer praticing.......... but he is becoming very well known as we speak
And by the way....if I listed all of the cars in my profile that I had and sold and put a SOLD after it as the OP has in his profile, my list as I'm sure many others lists on this forum would be a mile long...what's with listing stuff you don't have anymore??
I believe the rumors you speak of OP were mostly started and perpetuated here on this and other forums. I do have a dog in the fight vin 151 in Nashville and have been irritated by the lack of an estimated time frame for the process that is being done there but that is my only real issue in this whole thing. GM did state that some cars were going to Nashville and some would stay in BG to help expedite the QC gap that was discovered. Now it appears that these cars are moving and are being loaded on trucks. Hopefully we will see 4200 status codes today for these lower vin cars.
Have a great day!

I would bet that the tracking process and correct flow of information will get better and better as time goes on...perhaps GM should not have brought all of that on line until the production of the car was in more of a groove not during the first month or so of production when they are still trying to figure how to truly mass produce this thing...
Guys...go easy on Leonard....Don't you remember Leonard? He was the one that we shook down, on a regular basis, for his lunch money back in the day...He is still REALLY mad about that....."Leonard"...That is some handle to be stuck with.
Misinformation & rumors have completely turned me off GM! Had a C5 & poor customer service from the dealer/service had me telling myself I'd NEVER own another because they treat owners as if we bought a CHEVETTE. NOT GOING TO CANCEL MY ORDER...last time I'm dealing with this second rate company.
