Your dealer can pull up your status with a few keystrokes. He can then either print out the full OrderWORKBENCH document, or save it as PDF file and email it to you. A good dealer will have no problem with this. After all, you are spending close to 100k on a Chevy, they can at least keep you informed. My last two vettes, the dealer sent me a weekly email as well as a copy of the OrderWORKBENCH anytime the status changed.

Give them your order number and the state of the dealer. In a day or two, they will get back with your status. Please follow the guidelines in the first post of that page and don't request more than 1 update per week and give them a couple days to respond.
Just my $0.02 worth, but the GM tracking site was pretty basic and about worthless. They did have pretty pictures, though.

CONGRATS! Did he give you expected production run date? Mine told me the second week in Jan, but as explained above was so unexpected, was so excited that I forgot whether he said the 12th or the 19th of Jan.

My buddy left me a message Saturday evening (6 Dec) saying his A8 order was accepted by GM and he would be getting a VIN in the next few weeks. He is normally a very reliable source. He ordered at small volume Vette Chevy dealer in New Braunfels, TX. His was the last of 3 allocations. My A8 reservation is the last of 19 allocations at a dealer in San Antonio. Not getting my hopes up, but going to call them on Monday. Anyone else heard any news on GM accepting A8 orders yet?
