Kind of a blind slap at the Corvette Plant. It is no more likely to have anything done wrong in Bowling Green than any other manufacturing plant.
I work with lots of people that have first hand experience with that plant, so it's simply a resounding statement from every single one of those first hand accounts. I can assure you not all plants are created equal. I've worked in 6 of them, all with astounding differences in processes and quality control.
And unless some members on here are lying about missing bolts/screws from the factory, that part of that statement is just a regurgitated fact.
Lots of owners have had this complaint. Mine pulled to the right on my 1,800 mile trip home from the museum. Took it to a local dealer for an alignment and no more issues. Don't listen to the "wide tires" nonsense. The alignment is free.
Same here dealer ck alignment, it was off, fixed for free.
Yeah, I'm going to take it in and see what they say. They have 1 corvette tech and he's the only one who works on the corvettes. If anything they can confirm something is indeed out of spec. Won't hurt. Even though I don't have a Z51, I'm also going to ask them to change the oil, so the initial break in stuff is gone. just piece of mind for me. Start fresh with new oil after break in period.
Great idea. I'm going to do the same once I lower on stock bolts
I had the same problem of steering pulls to the right at highway speeds. I took it to the dealer and was aware of this problem and showed me a GM PI that addresses this problem.
It's #PIC5975A: Steering Pulls To The Right At Highway Speeds shown below.
