Default Is March 26th really last consensus of 2015???

My order is still sitting at 1100. Is it true that if it doesn't get picked up this week I won't be getting it??? How can this be since this weeks consensus puts it at 4/27 TPW. Those that know please explain. Thanks!

Mar. 26 is the last day that an order for a 2015 can be submitted.

Production for the 2015 will go through June 20th.

Production for the 2016 is supposed to start up on June 22nd.

If a dealer submits an order on or before March 26, how long can it sit before it moves to status 2000- March 30, April 15, April 30, etc, etc-is there such a deadline???

I would imagine it would depend on the dealers allocation and possible constraints on certain options.

I had to change my order to get it off the 1100 status so GM would accept it. That was last Sept. Got my car the Sat. after Thanksgiving.

My question is. Does the weekly consensus still continue beyond March 26th? I know no new orders can be placed but my order is already in (since late Jan).

You may not want to hear this, but you should think really hard about moving your order to a different Dealer. If it has been entered since late Jan, the Dealer may not have many (or any) allocations. I placed my order about 3 weeks ago with one of the bigger supporting Dealers and I just went 3300 with a TPW of 4/06.

I know, can't trust dealers! They said it would get picked up in Feb! Thing is I ordered before the price increase as well so wanted to get that price. I don't suppose I can move my 1100 order to another dealer could I?

I don't understand why members just don't use our dealers that have allocation all the time. They insist on going to their small/med non corvette specialized dealers, get an OK deal, then get upset when they don't get their allocation and come ask what's going on here.

I live in South Florida, and I ordered my car from MacMulkin. It took a month go to 2000 from 1100 (That's very long time for a dealer like them) then I had my car in about 10 weeks. Ordered 12/22/14, went 2000 1/20/15, received car 3/2/15 which included a 5 day delay at the factory due to a snow storm.

You would have had your car by now if you had ordered from a big dealer. now you won't have your 2016 until probably July at the earliest, or maybe even August.

When you place an order, it becomes 1100 so no need to transfer your order. What you do need to do if you want a 2015, is to use a large forum dealer as they all have allocations by the fact they are large dealers. Moving your order to another non forum dealer is a waste of time unless they can document that they have an upcoming allocation. Do not take their word for it!

Everyone has a reason to use the dealer they select and some make the right decision and others don't. The larger dealers don't always offer the best package and some people have good relationships with their local dealer and they want to support them.
Some of us also want to believe that our dealers are telling us the truth when it comes to allocations (we will find out soon).
For me, I am also sitting at 1100 waiting for a Z06. I contacted the large dealers in my area and asked for a trade-in price on my 2008 Z06. I then asked a local dealer who sold me the Z, he offered me a much better trade in price and I am saving an additional $3,000 on taxes, so I will wait and see if he was lying about an allocation.

How in the world are you saving an additional $3,000 in taxes by trading with your local dealer? That would have to mean he offered you about $50,000 more on trade than the large dealers. I am confused.

The $3,000 is the money I would save on taxes trading in my car, which I may not get using a dealer out of state or selling it outright.

You should still be able to save on tax. Typically when you register your new car the department of motor vehicles will look at the bill of sale and collect tax as if the deal were completed in your state.

I'm not sure where this rumor started, but March 26th is not the last day to order a 2015 Corvette. April 23rd is the day to order a 2015 Corvette (if the dealer has allocation) and the final day of production June 20th.

We won't even get our final consensus until April 1st, so the March 26th date is not correct.

Is this the same for a Z06? Does this mean all of the dealers will know on April 1 how many allocations they have left?

Z06 cutoff is a week earlier but all dealers will get final allocation on April 1st.

How does the order with constraint work? For example if a dealer has an available allocation and they place an order with a known constraint such as Z51 do they know after the order has been placed if this will be picked up or is it a waiting game? I didn't know if there was some sort of "alert" that pops up when the order is submitted or maybe the dealer talked with the GM regional sales rep and let the dealer know that if a Z51 is ordered it will or will not be picked up. thanks

When an entered or is about to be placed against an allocation (first pass) the dealer will be told if a part of the order is constrained and he can not forward the order unless adjusted (second pass) and once the order meets constraints it goes forward (third pass). I do not recall seeing this much discussion about the last day an order can be entered; usually the discussion is about the first day.
