Three days ago I did something sort of dumb. It has taken this long to get the nerve to admit it. I left home to go to a Casino for lunch and some slot time. I parked in the covered parking lot and two women parked next to me. They liked my C6 and we talked about it on the way into the Casino. I ate lunch and played some slots . All in all about two hours. I left the Casino floor and walked out to my Vette, which was just waiting for me at a nice steady IDLE. (DUMB S>>T) And yes I did come out ahead of the games, at least. FredD..
I feel your pain. I did the same thing years ago, with a Crown Vic, and even locked the doors with it running
I had 3 other folks with me on a business trip, and the car ran for about 8 hours. You could smell the asphalt melting under it when we got back to the car.
The policeman that responded with the door jimmy really reamed me too.
The 3 others picked on me the entire way back to the plant.
Then, one of them could not find his keys, he had left them at a restaurant that we stopped to eat at.
Soooo, I got to pick on him a little as I drove him back to get his keys.
You need to sue GM for not designing the car to remind you, then write to your congressman and senator asking them to enact legislation to make all car manufacturers do this.
