What do y'all think looks better black rims or chrome on a black vert. I'm about to paint my calipers red so I imagine they will look good with both just trying to decide on black rims.

Somewhat of an unfair comparison... The black wheels are much better looking wheels, in black. The chrome wheels are basic, which goes against them looking good. If that makes sense.
If the chrome wheels were ZR1 wheels, then chrome would win hands down.
But with the examples you've given, the black look better.
If you not tied to one or the other, have you considered the black style wheel in the first pic in black chrome ... I think that would look sharo on a black Vetted, Otherwise my vote is for chrome
IMO something in the hyperblack to graphite color range would look best on a black car. I think slightly metallic painted wheels add something that gloss black can't.
Also, I think the wheels in your pic are actually polished aluminum, not chrome. And chrome is rather passe anyway.
I have always preferred a subdued look in most any vehicle and tend to shy away from chrome anything.
With that, the chrome "Gumby" wheels along with other options really seem to accent the C6 very well, especially with big contrasts like with a white or black car. I eventually took mine off and painted the calipers and barrels for more contrast and easier cleaning.
Very happy with the chrome and if I opted for a different style, I'd go with chrome again.
I like the style of the black rims a bit better than the chrome in your photos but if it were me, I would stick with the Chrome. I like the blacked out look but it's been done so many times that I would want something different.
Overall, I usually prefer chrome but dark gray metallic is growing on me.
