Default WTB-Deep dish knock offs?

Hi all, so I know the picture attached is just a rendering and not an actual car, but....

Those deep dish knock offs look great. Has anyone seen any like them or know where I can buy some?

EVOD wheels can make you a set but it will cost you. I know at some point in the future I'm going to have a set made for me in about an 18'' wheel. Why? Because I love the look of those wheels. That rendering looks real sweet.

Exactly- I don't like the originals and wouldn't put them on my '66. The deep dish ones are a different story!

Any idea what EVOD charges for a set of 16 x 10s or the 18s you plan on?

Got a reply back from Earl-unfortunately they are not for sale.

Wondering how much they would cost to have made in a 16 x 10?

----Future project perhaps

Here are a few pics of 18" EVOD's on my build. The fronts are 18x9 and 18x10 on the back. I have approx 1.25 inch lip on my rims and these are on a stock body (SRIII chassis) w/ no flares like the rendering on the original post has. 18" rims only come w/ a smooth or rolled lip like I have. If you want a step lip (like the pic in the original post) you would have to go w/ 17" rims because they don't do a step in 18".

On my rims, the lip is polished and the spokes are brushed aluminum. I had the wheels blasted for texture between the spokes and painted black on the inside. I also had Evod machine the spokes to make them smooth. (All this will add to your cost). I have a '67 so I had them custom make the center caps (another option) to match the look. (I had EVOD redo the center caps which are the last pic) The wheels do come standard with the knock of center caps. The third pic is picture of a wheel blasted for texture and the spokes machined but they are not painted black in the center like mine. It also has the knock off center cap. 65-StingRay is right...they are not cheap!

The radius where the individual radial runners meet near the rim adds a nice touch. .. Great looking wheels!

The Evod website shows wheel sets starting at $5-6K.

chgc267,
really like your wheels - good job and great looking. Definitely the more you add to what you want the more it costs. One day in the near future I'm going to go this route with the knock-off wheels. I'm going to try and have them built so the spinner sticks out past the lip like on the originals. Don't know if it will be possible - because of the laws for what can stick out past the lip of a rim. I'd like 17'' or 18'' wheels.
Now just to clarify these rims you had made are they true knock-offs or the bolt-on kind of rim?

The only thing I'm missing is that beautiful SRlll frame you have.
Very nice car.

Missed that earlier, thanks.

5-6k....I might be willing to spend that much to get bolt on deep dish knock offs...

Sadly it's more like $8000-9000, at least for 17s, which was what I asked them about. Too much for me but they are very nice looking.

Have you considered the 8-1/2" wide Western Wheel turbine-style wheels with an added "knock-off?"

They come in 6", 7", 8-1/2", and 10" wide. I use the 7's and these are the 8-1/2" in the pic. You can get simulated knock-offs fairly cheap.

dados66 is correct. Mine are 18" and the set was just under 7K. The spokes come slightly rounded and since I wanted them painted on the inside you have to machine them flat (I wanted them flat anyway). Blasting the middle for texture, machining and painting added another $300 each (not sure how that itemizes for each). Since I wanted my centers to look like the ones from '67 that set me back even more for each wheel. I don't know how much that was and I'm afraid to look at my invoice...but it's north of $9k give or take a few hundred

Thanks! How far they stick out would depend on the offsets you use I assume. Mine are not true knock off and neither are the ones for the blue Vette in my post. Here is a picture of what the wheel looks like with the center caps removed. I also don't have the brake calipers on yet in case you are wondering (The pic is before I changed up the emblem in the center) The knock off's would also work the same. (Not sure what that round thing is behind my tire but it's not part of the wheel).

I haven't....I'll have top look at the 10" ones and see if they would work. I really like the deep dish look with flared fenders...only problem is I rarely see flares that look good.

There are companies that will widen wheels as I recently found out, once again not cheap but an option, cheaper than having them custom made.

8-9k? Wow that's about 4x more than I'd be willing to spend.
