Default WTB 69-77 Manual / Red Interior

I'm looking to buy my first vette. I've settled on a 69-77. I'm hoping to make the car my daily driver as I have a 2 mile commute. I'm 27 years old and recently married. I'm hoping to get a car that I can keep for years to come and give to my kids when they grow up (and for that matter, when I have kids). I've been browsing craigslist for a couple months now and haven't had much luck finding the right car. I'm looking to spend around $10k, but I could get up to $15k if it was meant to be.

My only requirements are: manual transmission, red or black exterior, and a red interior.

The car doesn't have to be immaculate, just something that looks good from a distance and I can keep up over the years. Small flaws just add character in my opinion. Matching numbers aren't required. I would prefer older models with chrome bumpers, but normally they tend to be a bit out of my price range. I live in Houston but would be willing to drive pretty much anywhere for the right car. Thank you so much!

Wow that's a beautiful car, but I'm stuck on the manual. Thanks for taking the time to send me the info!

I have one for sale here which may meet your requirement. They call it oxblood, so it's not the brightest of reds, but it is in the red family.

Being an L82 and having the 4-speed and power accessories make it pretty rare.

Thanks for the info! It's a beautiful car, but I'm hoping for something black or red exterior. The distance is a little far to travel for not the "perfect car" by my standards. Thanks you for taking the time to post it however.

I have a 74, just over 30k actual miles. Fully loaded, A/C, P/S, P/B, P/W & T/T. 4-speed.
Red with black interior, all documents & service records. Perfect frame, no rust, L48, matching numbers. There are some pictures, in the c3 general section with the 74's showing there. Beautiful car.

Check out the "Tips for selling" thread in the general section. A guy has a nice looking '76 silver/red interior 4 speed he is looking to sell.

Thank you for the reply. It is a beautiful car, but I'm stuck with the red interior and I would prefer a non-convertible.
