It's been hitting 116 or higher in the shade (my covered patio) everyday here for the last week or so; Wednesday it hit 121 ... felt like walking into an oven when/if you went outside.

At least it cools down to a balmy 90 overnight....
June was $224. House is 1700sqft, temp is set to 79°. Pool pump runs 9 hours a day so that adds on a bit too.
Same here Rose, house size, pool etc., usually summer bills are in the $180's but it has been steady hot at over 110' for seems like forever.
Oh well, I'll take it over "cold" any day, my ole bones don't take to cold weather.

I like the heat better than cold too. Only draw back is the pool water is 95°.
I can relate. I have lived in Florida for forty years. This summer seems a little hotter than usual. Electric bill last month was $177.00, 2000 sq ft and pool.
As the title says I don't blame you, it would suck IMO, I couldn't tolerate it
But I am growing weary of the heat this year, don't know if its age or what but I have no energy to do squat, and I love just puttering in my garage, listening to the radio cleaning this and that, so why am I not doing it nowadays.
118' at 7 pm is why, whew Cant wait for some cooler weather.

I hear ya. I don't tolerate heat/humidity very well, that's why I live in the upper Midwest, although we do get some hot weather in July & August. Fall is my favorite time of year. I leave for Sturgis next weekend, and it seems like its always hot out there during the rally...oh well.
On my 3 week road trip through 13 states that I just finished, the temperatures ranged from low 60's (evenings/mornings) to high 100's and humidity from 50 to 99%. Even Moab, UT (el 4000) was 110* on Thursday. OH, IN, and IL were in the high 80's to low 90's, but the humidity was horrible. Every place we traveled has snow in the winter, which is why we live in the Phoenix area. It's easier to find shade than shovel snow.
There is no perfect place, because if one existed, it would soon become overcrowded and therefore no longer perfect.

Hence why its not very affordable.
For the record I'm sick of the heat as well.
Seems like every year end of July /August is the worst. All my plants on the patio are dead. Utilities are sky high, and theres nothing decent to watch on the tube.
