Default Stage 2 spoiler extensions.

Unless the car is tracked, is there any benefit at normal highway speeds from adding them ? I'm trying to determine if they would create enough down force to aid in wet weather driving.

Purportedly the Stage 2 package results in a 400% increase in downward force. Not sure what speed is necessary to hit this mark, but the spoiler extensions are certainly more than an appearance mod and "might" offer better wet weather driving traction.

Note: the Stage 2/3 side shirts and Stage 2 splitter w/the smaller winglets would also be including in this assessment.

Highly unlikely that they will help you in wet weather. Maybe if you had a vertical fin in the form of a diffuser to offer yaw stability; still unlikely.

This is going to be interesting. I do know that in the rain, the rooster tail from the stage 1 is kind of cool. I can only imagine what it would be like with the stage 2 pieces installed to the base spoiler. The other side effect I noticed is that it kept cars from crowding me on the highway. They did not like the spray ..............

I have Stage 3 CF all around. I have achieved 27mpg straight highway driving from fill on the highway and go EXACTLY the speed limit, but average 21-24 with my city/hwy mix driving. Conversely, I have driven at speeds conducive to the ground effects providing down force through enthusiast routes like Angeles National Forest. Lastly...the look is amazing...

Without the center wicker, it is like a small port hole. Going up a slight hill you see pavement behind you, going slightly downhill you see sky, and level ground you don't see much. Imagine sitting in this car and looking out the rear view. That view is reality.

Well, that shouldn't bother me then. I've driven semi-tractor trailer for the past 50 years so i'm used to side vision only. I rarely use my rearview mirror. In fact, with the camera now in the dash, I never use it for backing. I do thank you for the response.

So you guys are saying that you get better mpg with the stage 2/3 vs stage 1?

Not at all and there would logically be no way to get better mileage with more resistance. I might suggest the difference is very minor and negligible.

I wouldn't say that my mileage is better, but I am happy with my mileage. Overall it's under 13.

My car is a Aero 2 car. I have driven a ton in the rain and with the MPSS no issues. Select WET and drive reasonably for no issues. With wide tires hitting any major water is going to be a bad time if you are hauling a$$.

Yeah the rooster tail is epic behind the car. No one rides behind me. Also the wet tires throw a ton of rocks. (Have had friends behind me complain.)

Reminds me of this scene when I look out the rear view mirror.
