Default Any way to keep GS wheels from sandblasting my car besides widebody fenders?

Is there an easier alternative? I need wider wheels and can't find Z wheels. GS's are available. Is there some way to protect my paint? Thanks all!

Sorry about getting off topic, some folks use clear guard as well

I use a set of stealth spash guards from RPI Designs on my car along with some 3M clear bra along the rocker panels. Both do a good job protecting the sides of the car, but I am running the stock size wheels, not wider ones.

I'll be installing wide front fenders and rear quarters on my C5 but I'll probably also go with rocker skirts, stealth splash guards and some clear bra. That's what I have on my C7 and it totally protects the paint in the areas where stone chips are a problem.

Patches, are you installing the L5 custom 1-1/4" front quarters I saw in one of your earlier posts?

I'm trying to arrange some time off in the next couple of months to get as much done as possible. Project was stalled by extraordinary work/home challenges this year.

I would just use clear bra and not do the splash guards.

There was a thread (by deegee, IIRC) on here a while back about modifying and using OEM C6 Z06 rear splash guards. Search, I guess will find it.

Are you going with the 2" L5 rears as well or another manufacturer?

Thanks

2" TPE rears and 1.25" L5 fronts

A few pics.

Since I have my fronts off, I made a side-by-side comparison with the L5's.

And, just to contrast those with the rears I have:

TPE

L5
