Default New Goodies Going In - UPDATES on Posts #15 & #16

Hey all,
After doing quite a bit of research and talking with my tuner, I decided to get some new goodies for the Vette. I just got the parts, and I'm having my tuner (TJ at H.S. Automotive & Dyno) install this stuff and tune her this week.

Looking forward to the "new attitude"!!

I'd use the stock pushrods. Insurance for your valves if you over rev.

As far as Engine/Drivetrain:
  • Halltech CAI
  • Ported/Polished TB
  • Melrose LT Headers & X Pipe
  • Catless
  • Ti Exhaust
  • LS7 Clutch & Flywheel
  • Upgraded Torque Tube Couplers

Was going to do 243 heads too, but don't quite have the $$ for that right now.

Will do.

Right now (pre-cam) I'm 338 rwhp, 337 trq. I'm hoping to get to >390 rwhp.

Honestly that's too much cam for stock LS1 compression.
I had a Lunati 236/236 112LSA and it liked to cam surge in parking lots and in 6th gear under 80mph. Had to drive in 5th gear. Yes it was tuned. Sloppy manners down low.

Personally you should do heads with it or exchange the cam for something smaller.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll post back on how this TSP V4 works out for me.

It has been proven time and time again that that is a really bad idea.

Default Update

Hey all...picked up my car today...everything installed and I love it! Ended up pulling 384 rwhp; 334 torque on their Mustang Dyno MD1750.

The car drives great at all speeds/rpms; spent a lot of time driving trough town and on the interstate before coming home. Drove great through all situations...and no surging. The only thing we might need to do is tune the "cold start" just a bit. It's a tad rough at the start, but settles down pretty quickly...and really, it isn't that big a deal. this cam seems like a great choice for my daily driver.

Here's a video/audio clip of a cold start/idle with a couple slight revs to about 2000 rpm. I'll post a video with a few different listening points later.
