Default Covers for caliper bolts?

Does anyone make a tiny cover that will go over the bolts on the calipers? I think they just look like hell when I wash it and water gets in there and they rust. Plus it would be nice to black It out. What are my options?

I was thinking these if I could find right size. These are universal. Anyone know the allen size on the bolts?

I don't see those staying put...but you never know. Probably easy enough to keep spares on hand for the ones that disappear.

made from plastic... use the brakes hard, and wonder where the caps went. And where all those black smears came from on the inside of the rim.

I still say touch up paint is the easiest way.

Or you could use these hideous things...

Ok, I'll play. How's the locktite going to keep the plastic from melting if you get the brakes good and hot?

ha I'll pass on those. I ordered those bolt covers if they don't turn out I'll try a different paint. i taped them off and shot it with spray paint that was a no go. thing that pisses me off when I had them painted I had the option selected to have the bolts powder coated. as you can see they didn't coat they and I was not about to send them back.

You could try very carefully painting them with a small brush and some hi temp brush on caliper paint such as G2.

That's kind of what I was thinking...prep the surface and brush on the paint, not spray.

Those plastic caps will melt, even on the street. Brakes get HOT

Harley Davidson parts dept...they sell metal button plugs for allen head screws in different sizes/designs/ finishes.

FWIW I would probably paint them to avoid any possibility of a plug falling off while driving.

Good luck.
