The 5.3's do not have the window bays at the bottom of the cylinder bores so there is more meat in the block.

Every test I've seen shows that intake lose 40+rwhp. I would strongly suggest going back to a stock intake.

Back on the block subject, just dropped mine off at ERL today, going with a superdeck 6, their work is just amazing, pure motor ****!!

Water jacket version is 10k. unhoned. 4.125 bore.
Seems very reasonable for a made in USA billet block that takes all standard LS parts.
