I think all of us need to move down to Florida, then there would be no need for a countdown as we could drive them all year round! I must have seen over 300 Corvettes in my week in southwest Florida, I would roughly estimate that 150 of them were C7s, 100 of them were C6s, 50 of them were C5s and I saw maybe one or two C4s, and I saw one C3 and one C2. It's Corvette Heaven down there!

Murray - Oh my! Let's just pause now to enjoy the beauty of that snow!
Makes me wish we had something like that by the lake right now, instead of just -8 temps and bare frozen ground.
Think I'll don my new ice suit tomorrow and go for a stroll in the lake.

But... for the record I did just return tonight from checking on my '65 and even though I won't start it oh yeah I could hear that motor and the tunes cranked UP! Bought our tix for the BIG L-Max, who knows maybe we WILL retire and start wintering down south!

Love these countdowns. So, Corrado - your target date is April 1st?

No foolin?
April 1 is a Saturday, not a Thursday
First day of Spring is Mar 20 - but as we know the first Spring day arrives about 2 weeks later

My personal HDR target is Thursday April 13th.
Would be great to join one sooner, we'll see. Seasonally, that's about the least predictable, most changeable time of year.

But it is just 85 days, 12 WEEKENDS away!

Thinking back - 90 days ago today was Thursday Oct 20 (Google tells you this) That's was about the last of the nice HDR nights, so it looks now that we're exactly halfway through the offseason wait. Great time to get stuff done and be ready for a target we can all be available to hit!

Hey Paul, great pics. We were just up the road from that hotel a few weeks ago. Not sure it survived Oct 7th hurricane. Almost all small hotels especially on the waterfront are shuttered. So much damage as they eye was just 3 miles offshore. The large hotels are still struggling to get all the damages repaired. Was talking to quite a few contractors and small business owners about the state of repairs and future of the area. Some large resort developers have put in offers to buy them but want to control the beach rights and the locals made it clear to elected officials that they don't want to lose access to any area of the beach. With Bike Week coming it will be even more interesting in the area.

We may only be half way, but Saturday's predicted temperature is 8c with sun and cloud. If we were a bit closer to March, I'd be tempted....

Hey Greg! Thanks - and no kidding! Huh, that hotel's still there. Good to know! We didn't stay - just seemed a good spot to stop for a pic after driving the beach. Speaking of which, I'm glad they didn't just give the beach access away to developers - if anything they need to have more beach and fewer buildings. Taller OK, but def. fewer.

I did bike week about oh a hundred years ago. Quite a zoo. Glad that one's well behind in the memory books, but we are heading back this July for a friend's 50th anniversary in Titusville. We'll take the Corvette and may spend some time touring back up and along the coast.

Hope you and Anne are doing well. Send her our regards!

Yeah, I now use April 1. Truthfully, I can put full insurance back on anytime I want, but then I can't actually do a countdown.

I wanted to take mine out, but the fog just wouldn't lift for most of the time here in Oakville and when it did lift it was drizzly Hopefully this weekend coming up will be dry and the roads won't have been salted!
