One of our Forum vendors, RPI has a wide selection of letters that you can choose from. Rear facia and dash letters look very nice in my opinion. I have installed many sets for people. It is an easy DYI project if you just take your time and properly prep the mounting surface.
Chrome on the back, dash is embroidered. Best of all worlds.
I've got the embroidered dash too. Nice and subtle. I think chrome or red would look good on the back but have been turned off by many people saying the stick on letters came off. Like the hand painted ones people have done. Not sure I could do that good a job though.

I had the stick on ones on the dash in the last Vette and I was sure to clean and apply the adhesive prep first. They never came loose. Same with the back letters. Had the plastic chrome look on both cars. You have to be sure to clean the area with alcohol and the prep. But with both of the rear ones, I had an edge come loose. A little dab of crazy glue solved the problem and they never came loose again.
Unfortunately it's been my experience with anything that is self stick with these cars, you almost always have to use crazy glue at some point.

Painting the rear letters is pretty simple. Clean very well with alcohol, let dry, clean again, let dry. Using paint pen, stay inside the letters. The raised part of the letter will help tremendously with this. If you get outside the lines, use alcohol to remove. Put two or 3 coats on. Probably took 10-15 minutes total time.
The lettering kits for the dash are very handsome and a very nice contrast to the black. However, as others have remarked, the adhesive on the back of the letters is of mediocre quality. Despite meticulous preparation, mine came loose. So, I had to do them all over again with a good quality glue. The work is tedious to get a good job, but it's worth it in the end.
