Loved the story and pictures of the new 1959 Corvettes on the highways of the USA form St Louis to New Jersey.
I was handed this trophy from Zora at the 19th Annual Malcolm Konner Corvette Show on June 12th 1994.
I placed an order with Adam's Polishes tonight. I ordered a tub of their Patriot Wax, a wheel brush (for easily cleaning off brake dust) and a bottle of their leather/interior cleaner.
It should arrive at my front door in a few days - and my fiberglass baby will get her first wax job this upcoming weekend. Booyaah!!
I got a nice discount by using that card code you gave me. Takes some of the sting out of this whole Corvette thing, huh? LOL!
My friend had one of the 50 '86 Malcom Konner cars. His was a manual transmission version. He contacted Gary and they talked about the cars. Very interesting , thanks for posting this. I emailed him the link, I'm sure he will enjoy it.
OMG, Mike you've brought back a ton of memories with this thread. My 69 roadster visited Konners in Paramus many times. For quite a while it was serviced there by none other than one very well known mechanic, one Billy Kamphausen who went on to CART and open wheeled racing fame. The 69 was entered in some of the shows in Paramus before it moved to North Carolina back in '86. My sister and brother-in-law purchased three Corvettes at Konners.
I wonder how many CF members here remember when a section of the Garden State Parkway was considered Konners Chevrolet's test track!
Wow, some great memories when it was great to live in northern New Jersey.
that is beyond cool Mike---thanks as always for sharing the great photos, info and memories. So many comments to make on the Konners, but one word might sum it up---Wow!
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

This is awesome.
Mike you are the man, I love the vintage pics, I love the smiles on the new C7 owner's faces, I wish you could somehow put your collection of pics into a book form, shut up and take my money.
After reading this , I remembered my buddies '86 was also a Z51 with manual trans. He put a lot of work in while restoring that car. I remember it well. Thanks to both of you for posting the information.
