New (to me) 2005 Corvette vert- Couldn't be happier
Hi all,
I just got my first Corvette a month or so ago. Been lurking on the site but figured I should properly introduce myself and say hi.
I live in Northwest Iowa and picked it up in Ft Myers Florida and drove it home. Very sketchy drive home , as I went through ice and snow much of the way. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!LOL
Car has lots of extras and I am just trying to learn as much as I can. Looks like a wealth of knowledge on here.

and very odd that you have Z06 rear fenders only.. last owner probably wanted to put them on, all the better!
Get front z06 fenders and z06 front bumper and you would have completed the z06 body!

It has 26k miles. I agree on the Z06 rear end only being odd but gives it a great look. I don't think I would have put 22 inch wheels in the back either but looks good. Tires are almost new so I would be foolish to swap right now.

I live in the mid-west and drove 400 miles to buy my car about two weeks ago, 2008 Z06 lightly modified with 23K on the ODO. We should have had temps in the low 30's and usually snow at this time of year. The weekend I picked her up the temps were in the 60's and has been in the 60's ever since I got her. The weather is
unreal of for this time of year in Indiana!! I Thought I would have to park it until mid March, yet I have driven her every day since I got it!!!

It rides okay with the 22s. I am sure I give up some smoothness. Plus it is a Z51 so probably give up some there too. If I want a cushy ride I will drive my daily driver. I bought this car to have fun in.
