The "Alternative" Wheels We Loved
I was searching the net for various Vette related things and I saw a picture that caused me to go... hmmmm.... and then I saw FLYNAVY30's minilite thread, and I figured I'd expand on that a bit in a new thread.
Here is the premise.
I've read/heard that you Day One Vette heads liked and used various wheels "back in the day" (and By Day One, I mean you actually OWNED these cars in the 50s/60s).
Things come in and out of fashion, i understand. I have heard that you guys rolled with Baby Moons, Reversed Rims, Minilites etc etc...
But its very rare to find a vintage photo of these alternatives in use. Mostly, all the pictures show Stock Covers, Knock-offs, or a Torq Thrust variant.
If you rolled with some "alternative" and got pics, or just want to share your story, please chime in!
Here is the picture that got me thinking.... these were the baby moons.. right?
And... any insight as to the time frame that these came in and then out, of "style"?
PS
No hatin' please

Great Photo! lots of early 60's cars "the good Old Days" and I had no money!
the only non-stock wheels I've ever had were Cragars on my 64 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible and my super stock Dodge.
pictures were not as cheap and convenient back in 'Day One' as digital ones are now; there are SO MANY things that I wish I had pictures of.....

The "flower" wheels. They were very popular on C2 Corvettes back in the day.
