Just wanted to share and get peoples opinions on this and see what others think. I installed to HID fog lights in the front of my Z, enjoy and let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks!

Prefer without, but it's not horrible.

Those would be great in a no two plate state. Here in IL. would diffidently draw a ticket. But they look good.

That's pretty kickass. I like it. I am in a 2 plate state (fooking Virginia), BUT if I felt froggy one day, I think it would be awesome to install a couple of round LEDs from Ridgid in the same fashion AND incorporate a screw-in tow hook ala BMW style. That way you could put a removable plate mount on there.

I would drive around the sans the plate, and if questioned: (Sorry Officer/Trooper, I just forgot to install it today. Mah bad!)

As far as install goes I basically cut out a plate of aluminum that fit the inside of the opening then holesawed the two holes and took apart some offroad HID's and mounted them directly to the plate. After that I cut out the portion of the bumper behind the front cover and mounted this plate inside then taped off and painted a clear license plate cover so that it would blend a little better and mounted that over the whole set up. I like it so far and they're definitely alot brighter than the factory headlights.

Not understanding Why. Do you have a lot of fog in your area that you have to drive through? From a visual point of view, not something I would do. But it is your car and enjoy.

Doesn't look bad, my only concern would be how hot do the bulbs get and will they eventually melt/warp the clear cover you put over the lights.

Great stance and hood. Love the stealth look.
What size rims and tires?
Take them or leave them at first but the fog lights are growing on me each time I look at the pictures. Nice job on the installation.

Looks good on you're Z, not sure if other C5s would look as good as it turned out on yours.

Make them yellow and give them that Le Mans-racer look (similar to the C5-R which dominated with multiple wins at Le Mans).

You can buy yellow tint-film for cheap on ebay and put it over each bulb.

Same in IA I currently have the front plate on my 02 but the 99 has screen there to get more air to the intercooler. And yes, I've gotten a warning by Iowa's finest.

OP, though not for me, looks like you did a great job, nice Z too.

The lights were anzo HID lights from O'Reilly I took them apart then cut a plate of aluminum, powdercoated that, then mounted the lights, ordered a factory fog light switch for a non z06 and wired it all up if anybody is nearby Columbia sc I would be more than willing to help make another set up i have a lift here at the house as well as powder coating and any sort of metal working abilities
