Default What's your car's average?

Just curious what others have? Interesting to compare types of driving habits, location, etc to the averages. Please post up and note the model, transmission, etc. Photos are just for reference, you don't need to post photos.

I live in Maine and do mostly rural driving. Trips to the big city of Portland, Me and Boston, Ma from time to time. Most roads I travel are 35-55 mph posted speeds. I am not easy on the car but don't beat either. It's my daily driver when there isn't salt and snow on the roads. It's a 2016 z51 A8.

When my car was new I set the "B" trip meter so I could monitor it's average over the life of the car. I started it a few miles late but it doesn't effect the results displayed. Using a few of the information screens it is easy to figure the stuff out even if it wasn't set at the beginning.

My Averages are:
20.4 MPG
36 MPH
1294 RPM

My Trip B screen (photo 1) shows the top two but here is how I confirmed over the total mileage.

Avg MPG = total miles\fuel used (photo 2)
Avg MPH = total miles\engine hours (photo 3)
Avg RPM (lifetime revs x 10000)\engine hours\60 (photo 3)

After 2 years I have think I checked once and it was around 16 or so. I don't put many miles on it so gas mileage to me is totally irrelevant.

Default Average milage..

36 MPH, WOW, I didn't know my 2009 C-6 would go that slow!
In town and around = approximately 18mpg
Highway = under 70mph = 26mpg
Highway = normal driving speed, (70+) = 22mpg

FYI, this post isn't really about gas mileage, at least not in the sense of economy. I find it interesting that while I am not afraid to hit 6500 rpm my average rpm is below 1300. I do 80 on the highway, have hit 130 (closed road ), and commute at 65 regularly but my average is 36 MPH.

I know if I babied the car everywhere I go I could up the mileage a fare amount but that's not how I drive or like to drive. But it is interesting to see what maybe someone who does baby their car all time gets for average speed or RPM as well as mileage. Manual, Automatic... Base or Z06, big city daily driver vs highway everyday etc.

I have about 12k miles on my 2016 z51 m7. The car is my dd, but about half the miles are road trips. I don't try to get good mileage at all, and I consistently get 16-17 mpg on my usual driving, and 26 or so on road trips.

after that my MPG will probably be ion the low teens

There's a few more miles on it now, but this is from our recent Route 66 trip. It's hard to believe a car with 465 HP will get this kind of mileage.

2016 base A8.

I have 4000 miles on my 2016 Z. My top 50 mile average was hit last week, coming down a mountain: 29 mpg.

My overall average is in the high 12's, low 13's.

Just filled up yesterday. 16Z51. Average 14.3 but I have Range AFM defeat device on and use the throttle quite a bit. Bought it to accelerate and it does. Best was 31.6 on highway. (AFM active).

Since delivery over 2 years ago - 25.3.
Since last fillup - 28.7.
90%freeway driving between 70-80 mph; much use of economy setting.

Here's my last 50 miles. It was 3.8 mpg after driving on the track for two days, but my drive home from the track of about 15 miles raised it up to 5.6:

I don't have all the figures, but in the first 4400 miles I got 26.3 MPG. Fair amount of highway, but lots of up windy mountain roads, too.

I have a 2017 manual stingray with just over 6000 miles.

23.9 mpg
43 avg. speed

However, I should note that the first 1800 miles was interstate from Atlantic City to San Antonio. I got 28 mpg on the trip.
