Starter nose
It looks like the cast iron nose used with standard transmissions and the 11" clutch. 427's, 454's and 350's. I see a thru hole on 1 side and the 2 loops on the other---That's what my starter nose looks like.
I had a 454 4 spd. Chevelle. I don't recall the end of the starter looking like that. But maybe that it, because I don't know where this one would have came from. It has been kicking around the garage for years. Most likely heading to the scrap pile.
I believe it is a real GM nose, but for a 153 tooth flywheel back in the early 60s. The cast iron nose for the 168 tooth flywheel would have staggered bolts.

It is staggered. Take a good look at the 2 top pics. The thru hole is at the base of the nosecone and the 2 loops are where the nose housing bolts to the starter body.
