I just took in a very clean C6 in trade and took it for a drive. After owning my C7 for nearly three years the C6 felt very old. I'm not putting down the C6; I owned one for nine years and loved it. My only point is that after just driving a C6 I'm reminded of how very much better the C7 is to drive.
I traded a silver 2008 (A6 auto) base model C6 for my current 2015 Laguna blue (A8 auto). I also had a 1998 silver C5 (auto) about 14 years ago. I loved the C5, loved the C6, and love the C7. My complaints about the C7 are the tighter seats and cabin area and the problems I've had with my A8 trans. Other than those things, the C7 is an amazing car! It actually rides much better than the previous two generation Vettes AND handles much better on top of that! It's strange that I had a base C6 and my Z51 suspension C7 rides more comfortable..... that says a lot about how much improvement was made with the new Chassis and suspension. Also, the Michelin tires are by far the best I've ever had on a car!!!! These freaking things stick like glue to the street! Taking a close to max "G" turn in the C6 would result in quick loss of grip, but the C7 just takes it and begs me to push my own limits more than ever before. The body styling is what really made me fall in love with the C7. While everyone was complaining about the non-round tail lights, I was in awe over the whole back end styling..... when I saw one for the first time on the street my jaw dropped and I thought it looked more exotic. The attention this car drew when I first bought it was ridiculous. Here's some pictures of my trade-in day. The C6 had an intake, LG long tubes and a tune (416rwhp). The C7 felt about the same power-wise, but hooked better, and that A8 transmission at WOT was awesome!

I'm in complete agreement with you. Though I was at first not impressed by the rear end styling, all it took was one view in person to fall in love with it. While the C7 looks great from any angle, I think my favorite view is from the rear.
My new '17 GS is my fourth Corvette. It's the first I've purchased new.
I had a black '93 automatic, a Nassau Blue '98 M6, and a black '99 FRC.
The 7th Generation is so. much. better. In all measures. Except perhaps, sound. The mechanical snarl of the LT1 system is not quite - quite - as satisfying as my C5 w/Stingers. But everything else - so good.
I've owned every generation, 75 being my first new-great car in 75, putting out 165hp From there 79, 80, 90, 2000, 06, 10GS, 14 w/Z51 & M7. Everyone better than the last. I just ordered an 18 Z06 A8 and have decided to put all season tires on the 14 & keep it as a daily driver, winter trip car (dry roads only, no snow). Talking to a GM rep at SEMA in 2012, I told him it took 2 years before I liked the C5 enough to get one, a year before I liked the C6 enough. I then told him I was getting to old to decide if I liked the C7. I ordered early and got vin 20xx, just after the cars delayed in Nashville. I have no regrets.
I made the jump earlier this year. I loved my '09 C6 Silver convertible M6. But my C7 GS M7 is awesome. I didn't go for the convertible as I really like the looks of the coup. The top is very light, which is great for me, so I take it off when I can. I was worried about making the change as my car isn't driven that much and would it make that big of a difference, it does. The electronics are so different from the C6 to the C7.
Thought I would miss my C6 which I loved until I drove the C7 home...Never looked back! The C6 looked dated to me as soon as I parked the C7 next to it.
