Great pictures and stories Mike. I am a big fan of the old first series Chevy Trucks like the old green Chevy PU in your pictures. Here is my 1952 Chevy Suburban. It has been sitting in my barn for thirty years.

WOW! What a picture. That should be in an old cars calendar!!
An appropriate title for the green '67 Corvette and Camaro would be...... "C and C".
Kudos to Mike for knowing the right options and color combinations to order for his summer of '17 on the ground inventory during the June-October Bowling Green plant shutdown, and kudos as well to owner Harry Criswell for stepping up and writing the check to finance those factory orders. 160 C7's at an average price of, say, $80K...... puts that check in the many of millions of dollars. Criswell is not just running with the big dogs, it is now one of the lead dogs.
Can't sell the cars if you don't have the inventory...... especially this summer, with the rare extended factory shutdown for the construction of the new paint plant and the general retooling of the production line.
Gotta agree. I also think the sad look of that one C3 in the whatever yard is awful. But it's made up for by the many cars in beautiful and fitting condition. My favorite is the '67 green coupe and the '69 Camaro. And all the beautiful C1s and 2s.
I would have liked to have done a color override on a new BB. Had a SWC that looked like identical but for the split, and red interior. And it worked. Everyday was like Xmas while I had it.
Just curious - did that admiral blue/red require the D30 color override?
That's a shame, as I think the blue/white stripe GS is just begging for a red interior!
Oh well, what do I know! - geo
In 2016 I ordered for myself a Laguna Blue Z06 with Twilight Blue interior and that was a D30 color over ride. I felt that was a bit ridiculous as its Blue/Blue. I spoke with Harlan Charles about it and he said the designers felt it wasn't the preferred color combo so that is why it was a D30 charge.
