Anyone have issues with the mild to wild switch? Installed per instructions and it doesn't work. Set the engine management to auto like the instructions said and nothing. It's on a 2017 Z06.
With exhaust sound control from the infotainment system, why does one need the Mild 2 Wild switch in the first plac...I guess being able to open and close with the push of a button is useful but...

The switch keeps the valves open instead of closing as you get up to speed. But you still have the option to go quiet if you so desire which you can't do if you just pull the fuse. I put the switch in my car and really like it.

The Z06 with the exhaust in track mode does not ever close the value. Stingrays do. (But it's the opposite of what you say -- it closes at low RPM, not when you get "up to speed".)
I set it up as auto in the engine management like the instructions said so that should be correct. With the fuse pulled its all open so that seems to be working correct too.

If it works right (stays open) with the fuse pulled, then there's something wrong with your switch installation since basically the switch just pulls the fuse electronically if it's working right. Check your connections.

Didn't know this. I thought the valve closed at low rpm for Z06 too, even in track mode. Where did you source this information?
It sounds like you did the same thing I did when I installed mine, I thought it was broken.
After you pulled the fuse out and connect the wire, you have to put the fuse back in to the mild to wild wiring.
Some set the infotainment to stealth and use the M2W to control the valves. I set it to be controlled by the driving mode. When I start the car (normally in Tour) it defaults to open or fuse pulled. I generally close the M2W immediately when I start the car to not bother the neighbors, but open it when I get out of the neighborhood and move to Sport and go from D to Manual. What it then does is keep the valves opened below 3500 rpm. With the V4 mode that sounds horrible, so I first got a Ranger Tech module than simply went to driving the A8 in manual to avoid the 2 cylinder sound.
In fact I normally drive my ATS A8 in M even though it doesn't have paddle shifters. The A8 is simply better keeping the engine around 2k rather than letting it get down in the 1400-1600 range which the normal A8 programming allows.

I source this from me, I have owned both cars. There is no tip-in for the Z06 at low RPM when in Track mode exhaust. If you stay in Track exhaust mode in the Z06, your inner tips will never be used. With the Stingray, you need to pull the fuse to accomplish this.
In view of the above, Mild to Wild, or pulling the fuse, really serves no useful function if exhaust is left in track mode all the time for Z06 owners. There have been misleading threads on this subject posted in the past that were strongly vocal that even in track mode exhaust the valves closed at lower rpms and pulling the fuse was the only solution. Guess it's time to ignore those voices.
In case anyone is thinking about getting the M2W switch just a heads up. I talked to the vendor and was told it was common for some not to work. They sent me a new one and it worked perfectly fine.
