I hate thieves, I've had my share of run ins with many during my career. I currently have 3 warehouses and 20 high performance auto parts stores that I manage and one was broken into last night. Got the call at 3:00am and came into find this;
Fortunately just looking for cash which we don't keep in the store after hours, walked past several polished Holy Carbs and MSD EFI kits worth more than the amount of cash we keep on hand during the day. Good things thieves are usually more desperate than smart.

Our family pizza place was broken into 37 times. So totally understand.

What in the hell would you steal from a closed pizza shop???
OP, how did they remove the lights without following the normal pull fender or interior for rear procedure? Those clips are hard to get squeezed from even the inside I think. Did they leave tool marks on your paint?

They would be looking for cash and cigarettes

Sounds like something a crack head would do. Too bad. In the state of Texas you have a legal right to shoot someone dead if caught stealing anything off of your property out doors. Every once in a while you will hear about a thief meeting his maker this way. Odds are it is someone you know.
My mom had a single mud flap stolen from her Honda Crosstour in her apartment garage in Houston.
My dad had a Jaguar sitting in the driveway of his house in VA and someone pounded hood with a hammer trying to get the hood ornament off.
I can't understand why any one would do stuff like especially since how much could side markers, a hood ornament and a single mud flap really worth.
My guess is kids who think it is cool or were dared to do it. Thankfully it has yet to happen to me, though my idiot friends have smashed my truck break lights out a couple times. One of which was drunk and was running to the truck and fell face forwards into it. That was kinda worth the laugh.

Must have been a democrat. They think the world owes them everything.
What has your comment got to do with Corvettes? Didn't your parents teach you not to mix pleasure & politics? Maybe you are one of the 'Elites who believe rules of civility don't apply to themselves. Sen. George McGovern, a Democrat that you probably hate, flew 35 missions as a B-24 pilot in Italy during WWII. Looks like he gave the world a lot.

Who ever took them knew exactly how to get them out. Thankfully no tool marks on the paint at all! As I have never had the need to remove these I didn't know they could be removed without getting in behind the fender. I know now.
Ok Jim your lenses are on there way. Was able to get them. Out today.

You are a true gentleman and I really appreciate your generosity. It's nice to see people helping others when they can and renews my faith in people. I will pay this forward somehow when I get the opportunity.

Your welcome Jim. Someone gave them to me. So why not pass them on. A friend with a ZR1 was giving them away and I took them said never know. Lol. Well they came in handy.
Save the money you were thinking on sending me and use it for a security system. Lolol. Arlo is a good wireless system. Lol.
Geeze George you've gotta at least let me pay for the shipping! I have no words except thank you very much! I have the pig tails on order and should have it back together by next week. I'll be keeping it in the garage from now on and check out the security system you recommended.

[QUOTE=GMJim;1595157831]I left the house (pretty good neighborhood) Friday morning to go to the hot rod show in Syracuse N.Y. with my 68 Chevy truck. I didn't have room in the garage to put my wife's 06 base car so was forced to leave it in the driveway. Came home Sunday afternoon to find that some waste of skin took the marker lights. Not only did he take the lights but cut the harness on each light. Whoever took them is Corvette savy and knew they could be popped out without getting in behind the fender. If I find out who took them they'll need to have them surgically removed from their azz. Does anybody know where I can pick up 2 front and 2 rear lights with pigtails?
Thanks[/QUOTE
So be positive and buy trick new led side markers. The pigtails are going to be a problem. You may have to make your own...

Shipping was 15.00. It's all good. I'm just glad I could help someone out.
Arlo is nice cause you can do everything form your smart phone. See all cameras from the phone too. Makes it nice.
