Default Heads up display

Hey Corvette forum

My heads up display just went dark on my 05 C6, I checked the control's but nothing worked. Is there a bulb that may need to be replaced or any suggestions. Thanks

Not sure about a light, but did you check the fuse? The fuse box is located behind the carpet, passenger foot well area. Pull the carpet back from the top. CLSTR/HUD marking.

At night, check through the windshield at the HUD to see if you see a green glow. If you can, then it's likely a broken mirror pivot point that is broken. Check your tube and type in "C6 Corvette HUD repair"

Yeah, had the plastic parts start falling apart inside mine too. Some JB Weld fixed it right up. I'd look into that first too..

Do you have to pull the unit out to fix it? I'm guessing probably so.

Yeah have to pull it out. You can squeeze it through the opening where the gauges go but it's tight and you end up having to cut the pipe that routes HVAC air to the driver side window. Not a big deal but figured you'd want to know. If you look at some of the DIY's for installing HUD it should show details of what you have to do.
