SOLD$28,500 I traded my 03 Anniversary Convertible for this car in "Nashville,TN" 12 months ago. The car had 53,464 miles on it, it now has 54,780. This is my 14th Corvette and I always tell my wife it is my last but that never is the case.
The car was a GM PILOT VEHICLE delivered to the Tech Center in Warren Michigan on 4-17-2007. The VIN number is 1G1YY36W685100006. A very low number!
The car is a six speed Black Convertible with the power top. It has the Z51 suspension, NPP exhaust, NAV and 3LT package. The interior is a combo RED/BLACK. The wheels are QG6 Aluminum 5 spoke.
The car is completely stock as far as I can tell. I have added a skip shift kit and a Mild to Wild remote control.
With the miles, it has not been a "Garage Queen" other than for the last owner and myself. It looks good and drives great. If it sells, I will be looking for a RED Coupe with AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I am getting too old for ROWING GEARS!

Reason: SOLD
Thanks! I was not looking for a convertible when I bought it but it was so nice and loaded, I could not pass it up. I traded my 03 Anniversary convertible for this one. At the time, I did not notice the low VIN number and the History that goes with the car. I often wonder what GM did with it? They put 12,000 miles on it.
Sorry for being naive here... but what does "pilot car" exactly mean??
It means that it was a car built for GM. The code is WD1 Pilot Vehicle. The car was built on 4-24-2007 and shipped to General Motors at Warren Michigan. I do not know what they did with it, other than to make sure it worked OK or possibly for Photo shoots? The VIN number indicates that this was the 6th Corvette built that was assigned a VIN number. I have included the build sheets in my post so you should see WD1 PILOT VEHICLE on page 2. This would be the 6th LS3 engine put into a production car! PS I had never heard of a PILOT CAR either and now I have one!
Beautiful day in Tennessee so I pulled the cover off of the car and took a ride! Runs great and the NPP exhaust sounds super! Makes me wonder why I am trying to sell it? I guess that I could also say that about the other thirteen?
You're going to get so sick and tired of trying to sell this car that you will finally give up and take my fine yellow '04 in trade. Bob
NAH I will just keep it if it does not sell by the time my cars.com and Autotrader AD's run out! I would trade someone that had a coupe that I am looking for. I came very close last week but we could not make a deal! It was a Dealer and selling mine at wholesale and buying His at retail is no deal!
Keep me in mind if you sell yours. I made a trade with a forum member months after listing my last 08. He wanted the 08 but His sale fell through. I contacted Him months later and we swapped cars! You never know?
