C6 side skirts

Did any C6 corvettes come factory with side skirts or splitters? Was it an option?

Yes although found more on the higher end models

there are numerous posts / topics / and vendors who sell them

Yeah I've seen the after market ones but I was curious to see what the factory ones looked like. I would like to put them on my base coupe . But I like to stay close to a factory look if possible .

Look at ZR1s. Factory skirts and splitter in Carbon Fiber.

Then look on Ebay for BASE splitter and skirts....different than ZR1, Z06, GS.

Some who don't want to pay premium for carbon fiber will wrap ABS parts in carbon fiber wrap.

Do you have any ideas of how much ground clearance you lose from putting on side skirts?

Not much. I've never rubbed the skirts on anything. It's the front splitter you need to worry about tearing up.

didn't loose any clearance when I installed side skirts or splitter on mine............... still had 3+ inches from bottom of rocker / skirt on the sides and a little over 5 inches on the front splitter to ground........ actually more clearance than the rubber / plastic air dam underneath the front end..........

don't ask me how I know............................

stupid animal in the road hit my splitter last weekend........... just finished replacement today, as the part took 5 days to arrive.........

I don't have any experience with C7 as I bought my lip and side skirts from CF Kits and Performance. The fit was pretty good considering the price, only had to muscle and hold one skirt into place. For reference, here's how the fiberglass version from CF Kits and Performance looks on my base:

+1 pm CF Kits for side skirts, although no fitament issues, just take your time and ensure proper alignment................

splitter on mine came from WSA Auto on the big auction site..............

ABS plastic, good fit, and relatively inexpensive as far as Corvette parts go
