Default Wheel dilemma.... CCW 505a or Forgestar F14

As the title states....... I'm having a bit of a dilemma on wheels. I currently have a set of 19x10/19x11 CCW 505a wheels on my car that are the factory polished finish. They have been on my car since 2006. I'm wanting to go to a gloss/piano black finished wheel so that brings the question of having my CCW's powder coated black or purchasing a new set of Forgestar F14's????

Cost wise I'm in the same position (give or take a few hundred). I can obviously sell my CCW setup for $2000-2500 as they sit (they are in excellent condition). The new Forgestar set up will be $2700-3000 depending on my tire choice. Spending the money to bust the tires, coat the CCW's and remount tires will have me at basically equal money.

Would love to get some input/feedback from you guys

I like the CCWs (though they are starting to look a little bit dated), but I think the Forgestars look that much better:

I think the Forgestars are the best looking wheel out there for a C5

Honestly I like both sets of wheels equally.

As far as which you should get, I think if you're wanting something new, just go ahead and get completely new wheels.

Forgestars don't have the lip that the CCWs have.

Stance looks tougher with the offset lip. Flat faced wheels have the skinny kid look from certain angles, which isn't a problem with the CCWs.

I bought a set of Semi-gloss black Forgestar f14's from "Getyourwheels back in Feb. and waited the standard three months for delivery. I wouldn't get another set of Forgestar wheels if they were free. I received my wheels with powder coat that looks like it was applied by a 5 year old; it has so much orange peel it's laughable and very noticeable when standing within 8 feet of the car. Both the vendor and Forgestar's response was "Well they good for the price you should be happy". I eventually got a small refund to cover the cost of eventual re-finishing. I know not everyone has had the experience I had, but way too many report the same problems from Forgestar. That being said I love looking at them from 20 feet away.

I'm going with the FS F14's, picking up a set from a forum member tomorrow that only have 250 miles on them. My 505a's will be for sale soon. Thanks for the responses/recommendations, sorry to see some poor finish quality, the set I'm buying is absolutely perfect/flawless confirmed by dozens of photos.

Keep the CCW's...clean em up and cover up em up in the back of your garage....get the new Forgestars in black....get that phase thru your system over the next couple years....sell and go back to your sweet CCW's. Winning on both accounts!
