My car came with one and I'm very thankful. Very useful and keeps stuff from moving around. Especially from moving forward during braking.

Default Have a vert and I use the net all the time

As I remember it has 4 loops and when installed you can put small items between the 2 layers of the net and not have them rolling around in your trunk. Don't know if it is only for verts. It came with the car and the hooks were already there.

I was missing one of the upper cargo net hooks when I bought my 2001 back in November. I went to a stealership and bought a replacement one for around $5 (after a two week delivery wait).

Off subject but to get a new air temp. sensor cover that goes just to the right of the steering wheel was $25, go figure.

That's how it works, but I did have to install 2 of the hooks via the instructions. I will go see if I can find mine and solve this once and for all.

Yup, the coupe net is a different size than the vert net.

The vettes come with both nets. One for the convertible and one for the coupe.

Bought my '04 used but it came with both the cargo shade and the cargo net. Was missing one hook so I did order one. Also got both tops. Got lucky on that one.

The net and sun shade were optional equipment until 2003 when they were made included standard equipment in coupes.

Default New Reply to an old thread - Mystery of the Cargo net

Gents,
I know that this is an old thread, but looking through it I did not find the answer I was looking for and I saw some that were in the same boat as I was.
So with that said, I have a C5 2004 base and it came with the cargo net. I found two bottom hooks but for the life of me, I could not find the top ones.
I scoured the internet, looked for photos, Contacted Vettevillians and they sent me two hooks but I still got no answer on where the hell the top two hooks went.
I was getting very frustrated. Then Marc Rose from www.vettenuts.net sent me a great email and the mystery of the Cargo net was revealed.

The hooks were on the bottom of the back inside deck DUH!
