THIS. My biggest gripe with the CC rear quarters was that the lip edge was "sharp" instead of "rolled", and they didn't match the OEM lip.

Trust me, I totally agree with you guys. I wasn't even going to post the pictures because of that. However they said it's not a big deal they will smooth out the edge. They are really close to being done. The finished the underside, rolled the edge or eliminated the flat lip like the CC rear fenders have.

Hey guys, getting really close now. Got these pics from earlier test fit, everything went great and IMO the fenders look OEM.

(UNBOLTED VIDEO ) Ok guys we put these one for test fitment today and the fit perfect. I have actually known the guy that is making the molds for almost 10 years he does amazing top quality work things as small as bezels to redbull f1 cars. I was looking at my stock fenders when i noticed we already have that body line in the front and a smaller one in the rear. I have to check petes rears and see what they look like. Me personally id like the bodyline there just smoothed out about 50% but thats just my opinion.

Not trying to be a downer because I love that you guys are doing this so please don't take this the wrong way... BUT that is a stock fender that has been flared so the fit should be great, nothing has changed with it that would affect fitment. I am waiting to see fitment of a fender that has been made from a mold of this fender. I am fairly confident that these will be nice, I AM an optimist soooo... lol Kudos for doing it. I AM excited about seeing the final product.

I totally agree, but they wanted to check the curvature of the flare etc before starting the mold. You are correct the first pieces out of the mold will be the true test. With that said, I've been told by multiple people that this guy is the real deal. I'm talking about people that have no skin in the game, so the outcome doesn't affect them. We are hoping to have the first set out of the mold next week and we can again test fit and see where we stand. They will be pre-drilled and have all oem mounting points. They will be more expensive than my current pieces, but the quality will also reflect that. I'm expecting basically some sanding, primer and paint. No crazy body work.

Totally agree, which had me thinking. These are 1 inch wider, if we went 1.5 they would look too extreme IMO. I think with flared rears, the C5 will look so mean!

I really hope these will be made in carbon fiber, but will they be the same color as corvette creations carbon rear fenders? my c7 carbon front lip is darker than my rear fenders and side skirts for reference.

They will be made in carbon, the color should be really close to what we have now. It is a different manufacturer but it's still a lighter carbon so hopefully it'll be really close.

I like a aggressive looking fender. But you don't want the front
fender to be more flared ( or appear to be) than the rear fender.
Balance is the key.

Well, that was my whole point from the beginning. I know everyone wanted different sizes etc, but if we had gone much wider than an inch it would have been too wide. Again, and my opinion is that 1 inch is perfect. I'm sure once we have a set painted etc it will look more toned down.

Hey guys, they rounded off the edge and finished the underside. Molds will start tomorrow and parts will be available shortly after.

I was told glass obviously will be an option and carbon will most likely be available two ways. One way will be where it's full carbon, but the face will be a black gel coat. This is for guys want carbon but are painting them anyway. Then the other option is where they retain the carbon visually for guys that might leave it exposed. Here's a few quick pics...

Looking good so far. That rear lip edge needs a lot more rounding, though. I wish I could reach through my screen and put a nice OEM radius on that for them. They aren't finished, right?

Here are the L5 fenders, for reference. The rear edge matches the OEM shape very well...
