I dont recall the year 80 to 82 but the factory played with the idea,
Seems there was a thread saying a factory turbo test mule slipped out to the public, but it was likely a cooy someone made, lots of those out there and several turbo kits sold in the 70s 80s,
I lost interest when there was zero documentation,
The ron flint name rings a distant bell...

So the c4 was a from scratch convertible design but c3s had a convertible, so it was just a case of using factory parts on a 76 or later to built a convertible c3 gm didnt,
Lots of 80 to 82 looking convertibles out there....no epic design talant was needed...
Ron was mostly know for Convertible conversions but I’m sure a Turbo was thrown in the mix
I wonder how many 81 ron flint turbos (was all 35 convertables a
turbo?) were made ? Mine is the last of the 35 with a number of 81035 on the door under the manufactures plate . With a super t-10 and a dana 60 and 9 leaf rear spring.( And of course a convertible)
