[QUOTE=JerryU;1596027836]My 2014 had what I referred to as the Superman Option! As soon as you opened the door it would move to the FOB’s seat position. Only useful if you were faster than a speeding bullet! That “option” was eliminated in later years. If inadvertently selected, most of us just watched, wondering if the “invisible man” was about to drive off! QUOTE]
My 14 was that way and it made no sense. GM came out with a software update and that fixed it. It now activates the seat memory when you push the start button and all is well.
What's discouraging is the long list of "WTF Were They Thinking?" items on the C7, stuff that was done just right on the C6 and now screwed up on the C7. It's like the C7 design team never drove a C6 to find out how user-friendly most of the features are on that car.
although I think the C7 is great, and can't complain all things considered.
But GM has been doing this forever, as do a lot of other companies.
None of them carry over some of the good things when they re-design/build something new.
For some reason they feel the need to completely redesign everything for better or worse.
A simple thing like Blinkers in the HUD, C6 had them, C7 does not.
Certainly not a deal breaker by any means, but it does deserve a WTF
Most of those I'd want to be able to turn off. I hate auto-locking (so like-wise I hate auto e-brake engagement).
The only thing mentioned I'd really like is adaptive cruise control, and maybe better chimes, although I don't hate the current chimes.
FYI the C6 had turn signals in the HUD, and I'll need to check the Auto (I assume you mean climate control) button. In most cars hitting it turns it on, and hitting it again turns it off.
I totally agree with most of ypur wish list for sure. Just because past Vette's didn't have these doesn't mean they shouldn't now.
Also, as a flagship vehicle Corvette should have at least available if not standard the full set of adaptive safety systems including adaptive cruise control, front collision warning/auto brake, rear cross path warning, and blind spot monitoring. If these aren't added to C7, they certainly should be on C8 as without them the car will be far less competitive in the market. (Yes, I realize there are significant costs to retrofitting to the existing model.)
The Gentex inside rear view mirror display (gives a view as if pillars did not exist) and freeway Super Cruise (automated driving), also should be available as on Cadillac CT6.
Some or all of these will eventually be required by regulation so there is no sense in not getting out ahead of the curve. A 1LT model without these bells and whistles could continue available, but they should be on the top-of-the-line Corvette models.

The problem is the Corvette isn't a flagship vehicle. It's not the halo of the brand.
It's a aspirational vehicle, and a performance car. The halo of each brand at GM is always a truck or an SUV/Crossover. These vehicles get all the gizmos. The CT6 is probably the only exception to that right now (but the new Escalade will have even more features than the CT6).
The C7 won't get any of that tech. And while I think the C8 will get some of it, it won't get all of it. Look at the new 2018 Mustang, it gets what Lane Keeping, Collision Avoidance (this is mandated by law soon) and maybe Adaptive Cruise Control. You won't see Auto Parking, Blind Spot, Cross Traffic, or more advanced systems for some time.

the door lock chime is the horn- literally the tone GM came up with to say "hey *******, wake the **** up!" It would cost, literally, an incalculably small (less than fractions of a penny) amount of money to just have a pleasant beep when the car is locked/keys are left in it. Why the hell does it make horn blaring sound? Lots of things are trade offs for performance, weight, cost, complexity, etc. There are a number of FREE value adds GM is missing from the Corvette. It's these things that European and Japanese do so well to make you feel like it's a well thought out complete car.
I'd pay at least $250 to any aftermarket company to fix this
How about changing the cup holders so the taller drinks will not fall over!
That really is the mother of all face palms on that car. A $70K sports car with a $19.95 Corvette add on drink holder jammed up on the passenger side because the cup holders are just completely beyond useless.

Had one of those cup holders in my C6 that was on the passenger side. Not very practicle for the C7 with the grab handle in the way!
Solved the issue with my September 2013 delivered C7 and found an even easier was to fix the cup holder that I have also incorportated in my Grand Sport.
It holds a dedicated Vette cup full of water, (any dedicated cup can be made to work just not any cup full of whatever you pick up at McDonalds) in a 1 "g" turn and a 1++ "g" stop! Done both many times!
Have an install PDF but will post some pics instead. The issue is the cup divider is not held securely and tips. The solution is to remove the rubber bottom in the recess (it just pulls up.) That exposes the hard floor, which is the main reason but also increases the depth 3/32 inches.
Then use UV activated adhesive and make a fillet on both sides of the insert to keep it in place. Take you time putting in the fillet as it only hardens with UV light and about 20 and 30 seconds!
I use a Vette cup and some felt pads to make it snug! Works great.
Problem; Insert Tilts in stop or turn.
Remove 3/32 inch thick rubber bottom (it just pulls out) and use UV Activated Adhesive to secure insert to bottom.
Finished holder retains Vette cup in 1+ "g" turn and 1++ "g" stop when full of water. I always have water in the Vette!
