Sexiest ME render?
I changed the door opening to match the spy shots a bit better and adjusted the scoop more and also redrew the mirror to be closer in size and shape to the mule.
I also removed the bottom sill kick and shaped it to what appears to be on the mule.
thoughts?
I'm really liking what I'm seeing.
You could be right about the front air vent. It's really difficult to tell as they've camouflaged this area really well.
The sill kick looks really good, too.
It's even in my favorite color.
The latest 'leak' of the rear facia should help flesh out this part of the car. It shows some sort of wrap around of the tail light area as well as the body lines of this area.
The Chinese water torture of SWMBO is continuing apace. Now, instead of simply saying 'NO!' she's asking if I'm planning to buy it new or used.

It looks like the rear scoop on your render is a little too far aft. Notice the amount of space between the rear wheel well opening and the bottom of the scoop. I think it needs to be on a little more acute angle, as well. (less vertical and more horizontal)
I think the fabric camouflage probably closely approximates the actual door opening, your door opening could have a more gentle curve.
or, if gm has found a magic way to get cooling air from the front of the car all the way to the engine compartment routed through the giant ducts in the doors, there might be no side scoops at all and the tricky stuff on the sides might all be fake news. there appears to be some curved molding on the drivers side that could be an air scoop but isn't matched on the passenger side.
Thanks for the leaked rear end cad. I incorporated it in the latest render.
I stretched the scoop as suggested but left the door opening out because I don't think they would split the scoop..would they? I also only suggest the rear as I did it quick and am not sure how the defuser and bottom skirt will work yet.

They split the exit scoop on the C5. Here's what I'm seeing. Let me play with the shape of the rear scoop a little bit.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Are there other cars that do it in a similar way?

At the same time, re the above rendering, I am hoping, wishing and more that the front end of the car is just one inch longer — for IMO that would greatly improve its looks.

These are not the latest McD images but have a look at where the vent starts. After the door and the shape/size. Maybe the McD shots are a disguise.? You can see the scoop start at the bottom sill and curves up a few inches then back.
Of course all this could have changed/evolved since the early vents.
Just interesting stuff
The nose and light area looks interesting and convoluted if you look at the shapes and camo areas. Looks to be concave a bit over the lights.
Also note the rear angle. You can see camo under the tarp where the rear glass would be... Maybe no or small rear glass?
thoughts?

The really cool thing is that something like this, could, possibly, replace my C5 AE50 as my daily driver.

FWIW, I work near Newport Beach, CA., where I see Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Maseratis every single day. I can't wait to drive a hum-drum GM (850HP) Corvette like this.

and see if you don't come to this conclusion:
the door has an extension at the rear that contains an almost vertical scoop that starts a foot or two from the rear edge of the door, probably sticks out 4 to 6 inches. i think the curved "scoop" on the left side under the camouflage is fake. i can enlarge on my computer to 300% and if you can do that and look at #6 in the photo link i posted and your picture numbers 3, 4 and 5 you will come to the same conclusion that i did.
the dividing line between the light and dark camouflage/cover in your pictures #3, 4 and 5 is almost certainly the actual position and slant of the real scoop.

You could be right with that assessment on these images...but these are the first mules.
The Drone images do show a strange situation of what looks to be an air tunnel in the door but it sticks WAY out so not sure it would stay that way.
The McDonald's cars have different panels and features and overall looks a different shape. The doors are covered on the McD cars and the sill is different so I figured the scoop has been changed as far as appearance. Maybe the position has remained the same.
I am not sure the scoop will be like the last version I posted. To me, it is a little dated...at least the way I depicted it. It is Corvette-ish but not revolutionary as promised from GM.
Hope we get some new hints soon...
