Nice seats, but I want to keep the C2 driver side seat frame and add 4 or 6 way power to the C2 driver side seat frame. Looks like they do not make them.
As a side note:
The early 63's had a cutout/box built into the floor under the seats.
As commonly thought these were not for tools but were for the motor, electrical and other works for a power seat option.
Obviously this never happened!!!

Looks like I will be getting my wife a thick cushion for the seat. I want to keep the C2 seat look, luckily they make heated seating pads to go under the leather for warmth, they only draw 15 amps. I will at least do that for the seat.
One way to raise the seat is to shim the floor mounts with some thick rubber or poly cushions. My petite bride needed the seat higher in her track car and I found that the front motor mount cushions for '55 - '57 Chebbies worked perfectly. Of course longer bolts were needed, but she got the elevation she needed.
That might work for her, but if you are 6' 2" your head might touch the ceiling.
Even if headroom clears how hard might it be to get your leg past the steering wheel as you enter.
If the seat in my wifes car is set for her I can't even get in till I move the seat, in that car when I hit my key fob to unlock it adjusts back for me. The Vette won't have that option.

When I added heated seats to our Tahoe to keep the wife happy I went direct to the battery for power using a designated fuse for this application.
The Tahoe had a 130 Amp alternator and dual batteries.
Your Vette project may need a power upgrade if it's still stock to handle the amp load increase.
Thanks, I have installed them before and they work well.
i just purchased a heated seat kit. Where can you install the on/off switches and still look good? Do you have any pictures of the installation? Thanks.

The real question is "Where can you connect them and not blow a fuse?"
Maybe the lighter circuit as long as you don't push in the lighter.

Mike, I put mine in the glove box out of sight. Bill
I just have a small panel that hangs from the dash. This has my Line Lock, Idle Control, and Vent Control switches. I even made a plate to go under it that notes what the switches are in the pale green that matches the dash. You can even sort of see it in the pic.
The "grain" actually matches that of the '64 console. BTW, I run a 100 amp alternator.

C5 seats are not as comfortable as later C4 seats and C6 seats just FYI
That's personal opinion. I think the C5 seats are much more comfortable than the C4's. I'm not into racing so I don't really like seats that wrap around me. They feel too confining to me but then again I never really liked the whole feel of driving the C4's.
You may have missed the point of the question. The seats are going to DRAW 15 Amps. Something has to GENERATE 15 Amps.... what?
I am upgrading the alternator to 120 AMP to run the new toys being installed on my C2 restro-mod. I might even consider a portable heated seat combo for both seats. I am installing a modern power plug where the ash tray is located.
My seat heaters draw 10 amps each ... that is 10 amps for both the bottom and back pads on 1 seat. The switches are on relays so just low current running to them.
There are probably pads that draw more out there if they have multiple heat settings but mine with just hi and low settings are just fine.
