Only at a Chevy dealership would they rope off a corvette.Porsche/Mercedes/Ferrarri never seen it done.
Considering that it's a sold order, and belongs to a customer, I think the dealership is being smart by roping it off. If it were your car, would you want people...and little kids all over it?
In today's day and age, parents aren't always keeping an eye on their kids like they should be.

Totally agree!!! There's a video up of a Demon that was at a dealership and had a sold sign on it and people still were opening up the doors, hood, trunk, and all! I was soooo pissed watching that video because I know if that were my car that I had already purchased I wouldn't want people messing with it. Just common courtesy.

I have seen it done several times for sold orders. Makes sense, lots of the customers in a Chevrolet dealer are 20,000 dollar car or less customers, with children.

That would **** me off too. When the Stingray first came out, the first one the local dealer got was a sold order. In show room waiting for the Marine to get state side. I wanted to sit in it to see if I really wanted to order one. Corvette specialist who sold the car, sent an e-mail to the Marine and two days later I was called and told I could sit in it.
Ordered the my car that day. I tried and tired to take the Marine out for lunch when he got state side to say thank you.
