Looking at a GS and the window sticker shows GM in Michigan as original destination, not a dealer. Car has zero warranty work or oil changes showing up according to service adviser. Car was titled with only 40 miles on it three months after build. Has 1700 miles now. Anyone know what it may have been used for? Was originally built March 2017. So looks like GM had it for 40 miles.
yes, I figure only 40 miles in the couple months GM had it can't be too bad. The owner that titled the car had it for one year and drove 1700 miles, then it was traded in and auctioned. It's a nice example of a GS, 2017 model with Admiral Blue, white stripe, and red hash marks. Carbon fiber dash, exposed carbon fiber ground effects, competition seats with microfiber inserts, wheel and shifter, red calipers and black wheels. It drives great and does not have the extended warranty for the fuel tank issue added, at least not yet!
already have bank approval for loan, waiting for credit union to get back to me tomorrow, they can usually beat my bank.

So, OP what you're saying is you read, or have a copy of the VIS report on this car? If it were me, I would like to have a copy. Anyone had the car on a lift and looked under it? I'm sure it's fine, but never hurts to check before you sign the check. How is the car being sold: used, cpo, etc.?
Early build, loaded with options, popular color scheme and very low mileage. Definitely sounds like a show car. The New York Auto Show is typically held in April. Check out the 4th picture down here http://findingrange.com/2017/04/20/f...uto-show-2017/
I bought a 2018 GS that was at a large city auto show in January, I bought it in March. It was 14,400 off msrp. With my gm card discount it was 17,800 off. The warranty started in Jan, I bought it in March. I received the MSO title
Yes I have GMVIS report on it. CarFax shows the one owner that bought it after GM had it.
And actually, according to GMVIS, it had five miles on it when it was given to a dealer in Louisiana, and sold to the first owner. The CarFax shows 40 miles when the first owner titled it.
It did have RPO R7V show vehicle, and Order Type 90 - Spec+Event Used Car (CVMS Use)
I see that the dealer installed the front license plate frame and it was noted that it had 5 miles when that happened. So I guess show car for a couple months the sold off?
Don't know if GM still does this, but a few years back I almost bought a C6 that had listed on the build sheet that paint got "special attention". Turned out it was a GM Exec car. It was a metallic blue and the finish was flawless. They may still do that for cars scheduled for execs and shows. Can anyone verify?
I bought it used with about 1700 miles on it, but my service manager said the dealers do get a big discount on these when GM gives them to them to sell.
Finally got home with it and washed it up, it's a good looking car. Pics to come tomorrow when the sun is up.

I own a car that went through the exact situation and bought it with 1500 miles on it. I had to get the seats fixed under warranty, and the paint and interior pieces had some wear. Probably a state fair type car where people were in and out of it. I got a great deal, and the car has been super reliable. So many fat asses and sport seats = bolsters needed fixing
