C5 to a C7....would you do it again?

This is the day the C7 came home and I waved good-bye to my C5...
I actually went a different direction. I bought a built 2000 FRC some years back, enjoyed it a few years, sold and had a couple other toys.
Then I decided to get back into a Vette, and test drove several new and used C7's. It is a super solid car BUT it just did not have the immediacy and 'light on it's feet' feel I remembered from the C5. I remembered the C5 feeling very light, with very good steering feedback, very 'manual' feel to the whole vehicle. The C7 felt much better assembled BUT heavier, slower to react, 'dumber' somehow, and pretty lifeless steering. I had to back and drive a few to validate the feeling.
I ended up back in a C5, this one a fully built '04 Z06. It feels great - light, fast, extremely mechanical, interior quality is terrible and there's plenty of squeaks/rattles but I can't hear it over the exhaust and the grin on my face

It just depends what you like. For me the Vette is a 'toy' car and I want an exhilarating circus ride every time I get in it.
Good luck with the C7, I hope you enjoy it!

Oh yeah, that CAGS crap as GOT to go. Why in the world they ever did that is beyond me....
Yes, the C7 is a lot more tossable than the C3. But, I have the MSRC, which really helps make it feel very controllable on the tossing.

So I have a line on a 2014 Z51 Stingray with, 2935 miles on it. NO, that's not a typo 2935. Limited Production Premiere Edition - #445 of 500 produced, 3LT Equipment Package. And I'm thinking about making the jump.
For those who have gone from a C5 to a C7, would you do it again? Why? Or, why not?
Thanks,
Steve

I had #125 Premiere Edition Vert, and let me tell you; you will love the brownstone interior. The wheels are awesome, All the foo-foos that come with the car.
There literally is no comparison.
Just inspect the dash really well. As far as the CAGs is concerned, have someone tune it out for you since the warranty is not an issue, or do as the rest of us manual Corvette drivers do; Shift later, and it won't be a problem.
Once again the skip shift comes up - never understood the need. I just sold my '15 with 96,000+ miles on it and had the ship shift come on four, five times in all that time. Can't remember the last time it did.
