After a Friday night delivery for the long weekend, I had a PX adjusting the seat, and the buckle sensor wires got caught up in the seat mechanism cutting/shorting one of the two wires. I was getting service airbag restraint messages after every start. Took car into GM dealer Monday morning and the tech was able to pin point issue and had the car back before lunch. He repair wire and relocated to avoid moving parts. All good, great service and love the car!

Was it a splice job with some electrical tape from Lowe's or a replacement of the harness?
GM prohibits butt connectors on airbag component wiring, so as long as the technician used the proper GM method for the repair (crimp sleeve, solder and heat shrink) then it was more than likely repaired seeing he got the car back the same day.
"Was it a splice job with some electrical tape from Lowe's or a replacement of the harness?" Really... what do YOU think?
The bigger question is, would you really want a whole new wiring harness put in the car? Probably be lucky if the thing would start after that. A soldered heat shrink repair would be totally fine by me.
An apology is absolutely necessary since the OP needed help but used an abbreviation that most people would not recognize. You gotta meet helpers at least half way...
