To Billy Boat…….if you could offer a complete mandrel bent exhaust system that would actually FIT a C3 Corvette…….and I mean FIT without bending and cutting….you would be the FIRST. I have tried Pypes, aMagnaflow and Stainlessworks and None of them fit properly…and all three did nothing but makes excuses. it’s Total BS.

We are actively seeking a car to do a prototype on.
Where were you guys 2 years ago? This would have saved me a LOT of work. Once a C3 is lowered, things go from tight to almost impossible. I'm not sure that it's possible/practical to make a production kit that will fit all the variations and production tolerances too. Automatic? T-56 Vs Muncie? There are some very significant differences in clearance there. I don't think mine would work with t-56 or automatic. I have a TKO-500
I went under the diff/Smart strut bracket with oval as it gave about 3/4" more ground clearance. X-pipe is sized cross-sectionally for 500 HP (slightly optimistic). 3 inch is tight, but it works. If I did it again, I'd transition to oval before the X-pipe for additional clearance under the seat area.
If anything off mine will help develop yours, let me know.---Ignore my lack of TIG skills. This project was my first.
Side pipes are made either for the 4" side outlet headers or the 3" side pipes for under the covers. The 4" side pipes are double insulated and will not burn you when you exit the car!
We will keep you updated on the progress of the under car system.
Found that part no. 0579 they are on the way .picked up my LS7 out at hawks motor sports in SC..very nice people down there.very informative.check them out.
It would be nice to have someone build a C3 exhaust system of good quality that was actually bolt on.
It would be even better if it was made to fit from just before the transmission crossmember back, because there are so many variations of headers and exhaust manifolds.
Good quality, and if it was available in 3” oval, I’d buy a set.
If I wasn’t so far away, I’d let you use my car and I’m actually shocked you don’t have a line of C3’s parking at your shop hoping to be the first.
Keep us posted!

They are as you say. I am thinking of picking up a set of the conventional under car variety myself while they are on sale. In my case I have a z-bar and their picture of those suggests there will be plenty of clearance. There's a lot going on in your situation, I guess you've got this figured out. Looks like you've got all the 'gear'. Nothing but fun for gear heads, hey!
