I got mine 2 years ago and if I remember right he service bulletin says what GM needs to charge.
Bring it in. The dealer had no idea it was even a thing. They’re a big dealer to in south Florida so I was amazed. Said they’d never do it again because they lost money doing it. I think it was $350
^^^best way to check is set up the account on AC Delco TDS
I just had the upgrade on Monday and the AC Delco site shows the correct info, the link doesn't
The update is definitely worth it. My 2016 with Z07 now rides as nicely as my 2019 non-Z07 GS did, still frim and planted even in tour mode but the harshness and jarring that was really annoying when hitting rough patches and expansion joints is no longer an issue
I've got a Z07 car. It made a big difference in both Touring and Sport. Feels more planted now and sharp bumps aren't has harsh. Paid $350.
The Track mode of MSRC doesn't "plant" the car any better, because now it'll bounce it's way along the sharp bumps. It'll bounce off the pavement losing valuable road contact and acceleration time, but won't bounce deeply on it's suspension. The Tour setting in most ALL cases yields the fastest acceleration. At least it does on my C7.👍 As I wrote, I don't road race or street race on-the-streets, as some do.
Just took my 2014 in for oil change. New dealer for me. I heard from a couple of sources they had a good Corvette guy. The service tech/manager guy knew exactly what I was talking about. He frost checked my GM history and found it was not done. Nice. Had to check on price, and called me back . $500. I’m in Jersey so I figure that’s a good price here. LOL. Doing all fluids ( brake, trans, diff, engine) and cabin filter. Also serpentine belt . Woohoo will be good as new.
Most are paying over $350 now. GM used to cover e labor to the dealers but no longer does so the dealers want a labor charge. I’m getting it done for $450.
I was thinking about getting the mag ride suspension update on my 2014 Stingray Z-51.
I called one of the big, well-known Corvette dealers here in metro Detroit and was quoted $800.
I was expecting about half that - but maybe I am way off.
Anyone have any recent (within the last year or so) experience with this?
Thanks!
The person you talked to may not have known what you were talking about and gave you incorrect information. The first thing that confuses Service People is it is an Upgrade not an Update. GM dictates the price of the upgrade. The last post I saw indicated the person paid $350 that's what I paid 6 years ago. Do some checking the upgrade may have already been done. You may have better luck referencing the Upgrade Part Number for your car and talking to the parts department.
Thanks to everyone who has responded! I will be checking with a smaller, more local dealer this week. I will use the part number as part of my inquiry.
Update on the upgrade. Picked my car up yesterday from the dealer. I honestly did not expect much, or didn’t set my expectations high. I immediately noticed a difference. I think it’s a dramatic difference. I’ve only been in touring and it’s amazing. Bumps that jarred, now feel smooth like my Tahoe with Magride. Well almost. My wife noticed it right away too. Our local streets kind of suck. So glad I did this.
Well...that didn't go so well. Small dealer wanted over $700.
Gave them all the printouts with part numbers and everything. They summarily ignored the info about .3 hr labor and wanted to charge me about $350 labor...in ADDITION to the $350 for the data file.
When I asked about it, got the same old song and dance from the SA who clearly had no idea that he was talking to someone who knew more than he did on the topic.
Frustrated at this point and about ready to give up. I am willing to pay $350 or thereabouts, but not double that.
If anyone knows of a dealer in the SE MI or central MI area that will do the update for that amount let me know.
I’m curious how much of issues like this are dealer or GM.I had put a deposit down on a Blazer EV through GM with a local dealer. This was almost 2 years ago. I never heard anything from either GM or said dealer. About a year ago I decided to cancel the reservation. I went to the dealer. The receipt I had for my deposit clearly said the dealer has the deposit, not GM and the name of the merchant on my credit card was the dealer. They had no clue there was even a deposit on file with them or even that it was possible. Somewhere in their account with GM, someone had to see a $100 deposit come in but obviously that never made it to sales as to what it was. So I question, clueless management or poor GM product delivery? Seems to be similar with this update.

Otherwise, I am moving on without it.
Don't know where you are but this dealer had 5 stars on the world wide web. Calling is free. Mark Chevrolet, INC., 33200 Michigan Ave, Wayne, MI 48184
Don't know if you've done this yet, but I went to https://www.chevrolet.com/performance-parts/locate Put in your ZIP code and you'll find Chevy Performance dealers near you. That'll be your best bet for finding dealers that know what you're talking about. If you come up with multiple dealers you can then shop by price.
While he is right there are certain performance dealers who readily know about this update, they must be few and far between. I live in the greater DC area and the search only located one. That’s a ton of dealers in the area.
