I wish you the best of luck selling this beauty. I was so glad yours wasn't one of the three they had at BJ this past January. When I saw they had three there, I thought, "nooooo, I hope that's not Eddie's!"
Congrats on your success! You're an inspiration to all of us.

I interrupt this commercial to bring you a picture of my top fuel hydro- 229 mph in the quarter mile-

I don't do this anymore- but what a rush that was!

Awesome car, good luck with the sale. Always enjoyed watching you race drag cars. I also was at Hallet last September when you were there. Looked like you were still kicking ***. Best regards Mark

Thanks, Mark,
The drag racing was a lot of fun for a long time. Ercie and I are very grateful that we were able to enjoy the golden years of drag racing.

The amateur road racing at Hallett that we are doing now is great fun, reminds me of NHRA drag racing 50 years ago when it was all fun and smiles and everyone helped each other.

And when we are sometimes the open wheel final winner- so much the better.

Thanks again,

Eddie

To add to the new owner’s comfort level and satisfaction, I am doing a pre-sale service, fluid changes, and multi-point inspection.

Getting supplies ready.

We have the Ford Motorcraft engine oil, Motorcraft transaxle oil, Motorcraft undiluted gold coolant and distilled water to mix with it. Have new engine oil filter, fuel filter, air filters, and brake/clutch fluid. I have new lift struts for the rear hatch/engine cover.

Also as a nice perk for the new owner, I am installing drain valves with hose nipples on them, in place of the drain plugs in the dry sump oil tank and the engine oil pan. So you can remove the safety clip and just open the valve after you slip a hose on the valve and drain the oil into your drain pan without getting your hands dirty or spilling oil. Very nice upgrade!

Thanks for looking,

Eddie

Although it has not quite been a thousand miles yet, since the GT guy, Rich Brooks, did a full service on my GT, I have now, as of August 2019, done the following:

Changed the engine oil and filter and installed drain valves with hose nipples on them to make future oil changes much easier and cleaner. See pictures of the new valves.
Changed the transaxle lubricant (while the drain plug/filter was out, I took a picture of it to show how clean it was/is).
Installed new engine air filters ( the ones that came out don’t look used, see pictures).
Installed new fuel filter.
Checked engine coolant level and strength. See pictures - looks like new - can easily see the bottom of the tank through the fluid.
Checked intercooler system fluid level and strength. See pictures - can’t tell by looking that the fluid has been used.
Inspected brake pads, rotors, hoses and parking brake system (see pictures, where you should be able to tell just by looking, that the car has never had a high speed/hard stop).
Inspected steering linkage, suspension, shocks, and ball joints (see pictures, all like new).
Verified operation of all interior and exterior lights.
Inspected tires for wear and correct air pressure (see pictures and separate note about these original tires – these originals are the only ones that have ever been on the car)
Inspected lap and shoulder belts and latches, all like new.
Inspected power steering fluid level and condition, all good.
Verified operation of all safety warning lamps (brake, ABS, air bag, safety belt).
Both driver and passenger air bag recalls done by Ford. They made a house call to do it, and did it here at my shop - pretty cool!
Battery connections good, and battery load-checked excellent. The battery is labeled Ford GT.
All hinges, latches, and outside locks inspected, lubed, and working correctly.
The door weather stripping lubed and protected with 303 Aerospace protectant, no visible wear or signs of aging.

Very easy and clean way to drain the oil tank. Just slip a hose on the nipple, remove the safety clip, and turn the valve on. Drain right into your drain pan. No mess, no burnt fingers.

On these dry sump systems, there is some oil in the oil pan, although almost all the oil is in the oil tank. So during an oil change, you drain both the tank and the pan.

Thanks for looking,

Eddie

I took some pictures while doing this servicing and fluid changes.

Left front A arm

Right front A arm

In side of the rear section belly pan

Bottom rear of the diffuser. The Rejex coating repels contaminants and makes cleanups much easier and quicker. I have no affiliation with Rejex, I just like and use their product.

Warning--Shameless plug-

I have sold fourteen of my own personal Corvettes through the years, and twenty nine Ariel Atoms, several of them used, without ever a single complaint, and I have had several buyers go out of their way to write or call me after their purchase, and tell me the car was better than advertised or expected. And I have the Better Business Bureau highest rating of A+ at my www.eddiehillsfuncycles.com, my business of fifty three years so far, and counting. End of Shameless plug.

I am thinking about having a new open wheel race car built for me, and so I’m now a little more anxious to sell my Heritage, and will listen to an offer.

Cheers,

Eddie

Here is a public answer to a private question, since this info might be of interest to anyone looking at my car.

To do the PPI- Pre Purchase Inspection

Rich Brooks, the GT guy, is a long way from here, but what might be the next best thing is Danny Griner, of Griner Paint and Body, in Burkburnett, Texas, the next town north of Wichita Falls. Rich Brooks, who did the next to last service/fluid change, did it at Griner's business, and Danny Griner watched the work as the GT guys did their thing as they worked in Danny's shop. And just now Danny helped me do the all the oil, filters, fluid changes, and the multi point inspection that we did just the last few days. So he has been through the car twice, with the last time being just the last few days.

Or the local Ford House of Wichita Falls, Texas, is only about three miles from me and they have been here at my residence/shop twice, fairly recently, and looked the car over while doing the air bag recall.

Or Ernie McConnell of Lone Star Muscle Cars is less than two miles from here, and they are very adept at specialty cars- authorized assembler of Cobra replicas.

Check out any of those three on their websites. Or we are open to anyone of your choice to do the PPI

Thanks,

Eddie

The 2005–06 Ford GT is on a recent hot streak
by Greg Ingold //
June 28, 2019

The GT’s interest has steadily grown over the years, and even with a new GT on the market, interest is strong and prices average about double of the original MSRP. Currently the GT carries a Hagerty Vehicle Rating of 66.

[The HVR is a 0–100 point scale that measures how a collector vehicle is performing compared to the overall market. A score below 50 means a car is lagging behind, 50 means a car is keeping pace, and a score above 50 indicates a hot market—the higher, the hotter.]

The GT’s score of 66 is a bit of a rebound from a low score of 20 in February. This four-month bounceback is among the largest month-over-month gains in HVR score among all of the vehicles we measure.

Does this mean that the GT is primed to see more increases in value? Not necessarily. What it does mean is that the GT market is more active and healthy in terms of cars offered, sold, and quoted than where the overall market was a year ago. It doesn’t mean prices are about to shoot off into the stratosphere.

Still available as of now. We have had several conversations, but no deposit yet.

I will make the following offer to anyone who wants to buy my Heritage, but needs to sell something first.

With a reasonable deposit, I will wait for up to six months at no interest, to give you time to sell your item, and make the final payment. And I can wait even longer for final payment, if needed, but would want some interest for any time over six months.

I actually waited a year for final payment on the last Ariel Atom I sold, to give my buyer time to sell a house, and that worked out fine for both of us.

Cheers,

Eddie
