I’ve had a lot of holly carburetors a part before. But I have never seen any baffling inside like this before?
Factory installed on OEM '71-72 Holley for then-new Evaporative emissions regulations. Reduces bowl volume so less grams evaporates after shutdown.
Also came on my over the counter GM 4803 Holley.
I found a quote in an old Holley book. If you want it, PM me and I'll scan it for you.
Just one more example of a so-original car, even including the brass fuel filters.

First, as you'll see, you need to undress it!
The video was done on phone, I downloaded it to my computer, put it up on Utube, and then put it in here as a link. You might well be able to load it to Youtube direct from your phone. The forum wouldn't take it direct from my computer, wrong format.
Good luck! I was wondering if the TI ignition was still viable.

Here is the one for the 1971 Corvette. (it's non-specific to a particular VIN)
https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...t-Corvette.pdf
Download it and save it to your computer and it will make a terrific reference guide for your car.
Good luck... GUSTO

Troy, you can go here and get the Vehicle Information Kit on just about any Chevrolet made since 1913.

I found the documentation on the strange Holley bowl stuffers you found. Just one more authentic original piece on that car. Here is an article that mentions that they are original and why:
From a 1976 copy of Holley Carburetors & Manifolds by HP Books & Mike Ulrich & Bill Fisher:
"Evaporative Emissions - In 1970-71, total evaporative emissions allowed from any car were six grams per hot soak. In 1972, that allowance was reduced to two grams per hot soak. It should be noted here that this reduction in allowable evaporative emissions created the need for reducing the bowl capacity of some Holley Carburetors with bowl stuffers."

no moosie,
i have been busy on the farm. i drove it around, and put about 30 miles on it going too buddys houses showing it off. then i took the top out of it so it could air it out, and i put it in the building.. i start it every few days just too here it ! that things runs pretty good. so it will sit for a few more months until i get the 68 ready for paint.
on another note, i found a 69 427 coupe one owner thats been sitting since 89. the son of the OP has been storing it in his garage and wants it gone.. OP is too old and does not care about the car or have the knowledge too do anything with it .. so i may have too find a hiding spot! ....troy
