If Porsche sold gym shoes shoe laces would be an option!

Lol they do https://www.porsche-design.us/Fashio...UaAqJdEALw_wcB

You can get them with or without laces, maybe matching leather to the interior of your new Porsche. I have always said, Porsche is a marketing company that happens to build very nice cars.

MClaren charges $1500.

i hate to say i but i think the front end lift option is on my list.

installation of 10 mph speed tables is rampant and i have to presently travel at 5 mph to get over with no scraping..

If this option surfaces, in a perfect world, here's how it would work:

A downward facing sensor is mounted on the front end (out of harm's way) and activates at speeds less than 5 mph. If it detects an angle change that could cause damage, it automatically activates to lift the car over the level change. Yes, it could be adjusted manually as well.

As I said, "in a perfect world." And one more thing, since carmakers like to bundle options, I'll take a wild guess and say it will be in the Super Cruise package.

Basically, it's listed on the leaked build sheet options someone posted a while back:
E60 - Adjustable Front Lift Height

The Mercedes SL has had a 'raise' feature (2 steps - automatic return to normal above 30 mph) that comes standard, since 2003. It is very useful for steep driveways, speed bumps etc. I love the feature and have long suggested GM build it into the Corvettes. Wish my Z had it.

Krate,

I also am curious to the system...I see on iLIFT website a Chevy logo on the model specific section, but no Chevy models listed...maybe they are the OEM supplier.

My observation is that it will be a standard option on GS/Z06/Zora models with CF splitters. I wish my 19 ZR1 had it...I would have already installed dropped spindles, the ZR1's with them look so mean and planted. Hopefully iLIFT will make a system for the 19 ZR1.

Jeff

This picture is from a post by SilveradoSS500...he lowered his ZR1 on the bolts on the left...drop spindles on the right.

Absolutely. My C5 and C6 scraped on my driveway and my Mercedes AMG GTS also scrapes. The GTS recently sustained some damage from a too high concrete parking stop. I wouldn't get a C8 if it didn't have this option.

Thanks, I really didn't read thru the options sheet. I'm going with capt. vette in that it'd be nice if it were standard across the board. Of course, that would raise the price...…..

Not that it isn't something we would still want - but shouldn't the C8 have shorter front overhang and therefore have less need for such a thing? Not eliminate the need, but reduce it? Or am I dreaming?

My driveway is flat and I have a stingray which rides higher than the Z06 or GS, assuming the baser model will also ride higher, I wouldn't get it.
