Default What size tires for 19x10 rims all around?

What the title says.. I have a 2000 Corvette..

After doing some research, I am thinking:

245/40/19 for fronts..

and

275/35/19 or 285/35/19 for rears..

Opinions?

Thanks,

-John

275/30/19 front, 285/35/19 rear would work very well, in terms of tire-to-wheel fitment, and tire-to-car fitment.

Some may suggest a 295 or 305 rear, but they are a little too wide for a 10" wheel.

Would a 245/45/19 even fit on a 19x10 wheel on the front?

I'm also trying to determine if a 40 series 19" tire would rub..

I've also been looking at 275/35/19s for the front..

..trying to figure out my boundaries and options..

You could go with 275's up front and 295's out back!

If I am reading it right you'll be using 19x10's all the way around!

245's would be a little small on a 10" rim. The 295's would be perfect or your 285's but heck why not get a little more meat out back!

275's would fit fine up front on your application or even 255's if you cna find the right tire of your choice!

Hope this helps! But again as for the rears I would at least go for 295's.

Thanks,Matt

Any opinions on putting some (free) 245/40/19s on the front for a few months, until I get the cash to replace them with some 275/35/19s for the front?

Both those sizes are way too tall for a front tire. Also, the 245 is rated for a max wheel width of 9.5".

A 275/30/19 is identical in height to the stock 17" runflats. That is the size on the front of my car, and they fit perfect.

I have 19x10 on the front of both cars and run 275 30 19s they work great the back wheels are 19x11 and have 305 30 19s. I think the 295 rears would be good with the 19x10 wheels or go to the 19x11 and get a little bit more meat back there with the 305 I have seen a lot of folks run the 305 with 10 wide wheels but I keep hearing it's not a good practice not real sure myself

And his last post is 4 years old, likely not an active member...

Default 19 x 10 rims

Ok Thanks, yes I'm new to this forum.
I was also wondering if the 285/35 zr 19 on the fronts are to tall for the Z51, I'm going with the wide body kit for the back and running 335/25 zr 20

The term ‘wide body kit’ is so misuesd, you are putting on ‘body flares’.
You can run a 345 tire.

Body Flares or whatever the name that's the look I want on my Z51, with the wider body and the larger wheels. Thanks Frank for the chat and info
